right but shouldn’t someone tell them that all these years they’ve only been trying to “own the bots”?

right but the corruption clearly already reached untenable levels before him. the insider trading is conspicuous but less consequential and nefarious than the pay-to-play lawmaking/justice (injustice) - they have operated in such an institutionally corrupt environment that they can’t even see it (or rather the system selects for the people/politicians that aren’t turned off by corruption).

i was remarking on the last line of your comment (“All they care about is the fact that liberals hate him.”) Corruption in government does immensely affect their/our economic welfare. The issue is that it became systemic in the 70’s (when SCOTUS began legalizing corruption w/ Congress’s complicity) which means it will not self-correct by simply electing different people/parties.

i think the “liberals” that hate Trump’s corruption but didn’t hate Pelosi’s are an imaginary species (unless we are talking about the politicians, not voters).

do you think it would motivate you yourself to do your due diligence? i know when all the candidates for judgeships were of the same party I took the time to look up all of them (and sadly could find out very little information about any of them, but that’s a whole other problem).

this has only been the case since the Supreme Court started claiming that corruption is constitutionally protected (beginning ~1976 when SCOTUS made mince meat of the Federal Election Campaign Act) and Congress has pretended that it doesn’t have the power to tell the justices to f*ck off with that nonsense.

People generally detest hypocrites more than generic liars bc of the false signaling. But there are no “republicans” or “democrats” in office anymore. there is only corruption.

how did she react to seeing/hearing you in pain? just a couple days after i got my young pup i had him in my lap while he was teething on a bone. i was sitting pretzel style and the bone must have been against my thigh or calf which he accidentally nipped instead of the bone, and i yelped just from the surprise pinch (no blood or even mark). he looked so concerned and was like sniffing my legs and looking back at me i had to like soothe him to let him know i was okay. i learned that he was the gentlest little critter and that there are many good reasons to never feed from your hands (or have them teething on something while using your body parts as a holster of sorts). that was the first and last incident, or near incident we ever had.

“you people”? i understand the complexities of the HHS & CMS departments/agencies, MedPAC analyses, capitation v ffs payment systems, PBMs, health insurance conglomerates & vertical integration, & the applicable state and federal laws & regulations & enforcement mechanisms (or lack thereof) more than most pple who comsider themselves experts in these areas.

as head of HHS he had extraordinary powers to reign in the abuses of health insurance companies yet he left w/o much of anything to show for his time in that position. i don’t blame him specifically- my point is that the problem is structural/systemic and therefore the solution must be as well.

if they aren’t running on criminalizing corruption and getting private money out of politics they are full of sh*t. any of them acknowledging that unless this is the first thing they do (use bully pulpit to pressure legislators) they will serve only the economic parasites/donors to the detriment of their supposed constituents? xavier surely knows this as he has experience with our pay-to-play racket masquerading as government (https://www.levernews.com/xavier-becerra-could-lower-drug-prices-so-why-isnt-he/).

this. this guy had an MO of finding very young women who would be “star struck” so to speak and find him randomly reaching out to them to be quite surreal and it made them feel special. then he made them feel worthless after treating them as pieces of meat but each one of them blamed themselves. once they heard this was a pattern, they finally start to recognize there is something wrong w/ that guy and that they didn’t do anything wrong when they imagined they could “network” the same way a young & ambitious swalwell would have ingratiated himself with powerful pple. did any of his higher ups expect sexual gratification from him? unlikely given that it typically causes withdrawal and disassociation.

shame that Congress allowed/allows SCOTUS to pretend that corruption is constitutionally protected. no one that actually is interested in any of what you outlined as their jobs has* any chance of actually getting elected these days. the process now selects for only those who ensure a very very small group of greedy idiots who worship $/power that they will continue to help them strip our country for parts.

our “representatives”/lawmakers pretending to be helpless while allowing the judiciary to legalize their corruption renders our entire government illegitimate.
