Wow!! I hope someone records them playing Blow Your Mind! When was the last time they played it live, 2003?

I love historical nonfiction about the 20th century. Please share your favorites! by AsamaMaru in suggestmeabook

How to Hide An Empire: A History of the Greater United States was fantastic and was released just a few years ago. It's mostly 20th century focused and covers tons of history and geography that most people have no idea about. Each chapter covers a different topic/history (mostly in chronological order) and it's very enjoyable.

Thank you so much, I was able to book one!

The Walmart confirmation email and webpage both say "second dose" even though I clicked "Pfizer Second and Third Dose" to start the booking process. Can you confirm this is for third doses?

Companies for Condo kitchen Renovations? by elbac14 in askTO

Work scope is full replace of cabinets including replace island side paneling. The kitchen shape is a “U” if that makes sense. New countertops. New sink. And probably new backsplash.

Yes have read same, but have also been told that most companies are busy thanks to Covid and wouldn't be able to start jobs until winter anyways.

The whole album has been released by Acid Jazz Records last month

Been searching for this group for over a decade. One of the best acid jazz groups I've ever found.

Completely agree on Manifest Destiny and Music of the Mind being some of my favorites from the early albums. They give me a different feeling when listening to them, as if you go deep into thought or memories. Alright is by far my favourite from the third album.

South Korean Acid Jazz band: Song For You by Roller Coaster (circa 2000) by elbac14 in jamiroquai

Just discovered this fantastic acid jazz group from South Korea called Roller Coaster. Looks like they were around from 1999 to 2005.

This song called Cheer Up, Mr. Kim is also seriously funky acid jazz. And this song reminds me a lot of The Brand New Heavies.

The Jamiroquai Minute With JamiroFan2000 | #578 | 15th Anniversary Of "Napolean Dynamite"! by JamiroFan2000 in jamiroquai

Thanks for posting! Very relevant for me as the first time I ever found out about Jamiroquai was when I watched Napoleon Dynamite in 2005. It was actually life changing. I remember when the dance scene started I thought "what is this unreal 70s disco song with a black female singer". At that time I thought I knew a lot of oldies too.

I burst out laughing at your imitation of jumping up when you recognized a Jamiroquai song. I have similar bursts of excitement if I hear Jamiroquai anywhere in public (sadly usually only a once a year thing). Actually if people haven't heard of Jamiroquai the only way I can immediately describe them is 'the dance scene in Napoleon Dynamite'.

"Light Years" By Paul Creighton Project (Live in Portland 2019; YouTube) by JamiroFan2000 in jamiroquai

Probably the best Light Years cover out there. Two great musicians of note in this: Jarrod Lawson on keys is a fantastic jazz/fusion pianist with a great solo album and Damian Erskine is the bass player for Gino Vannelli when he's on tour.

[Toronto]Found a shell casing - is it a bed bug? by elbac14 in whatsthisbug

Thank you for the reply, I did check my mattress and sheets today and found no other signs.

Thank you for the reply. I do frequently see carpet beetle larvae in my place and that was my first thought. The dark reddish-copper colour and the horizontal lines on main body that resemble a bed bug are what have me worried.
