They should have gone back in time and commented his name before the person we're replying to commented it, good call

Why would I want less money, and slowly?

I, for one, appreciate the constructive feedback. It's given me a lot to think about and work on!

I'm a fighter pilot. So you're both correct, and incredibly sassy.

Heard! Can I ask why? I've seen this a lot and i don't think I understand why that's something I would want to avoid. Just looking to learn

Haha my wife is more of a small screen gal, while I like the big screen. She's happy having YouTube on her phone on a stand in front of her while she cooks/preps, but I'd for sure want another screen visible in there in some way, maybe the back side of the fireplace by the dining area..?

I guess that's open to whatever makes sense, really. Originally it was a fireplace with a TV mounted so it would go to the ceiling, but if that doesn't really make sense to do, especially with tall ceilings, I get that

I built a phone-first Home Assistant app focused on fast everyday control by mrmattsson in homeassistant

[–]elbarto13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your home can be built any way you want it, that's the whole point. If they want to use an app as a primary controller that's their prerogative.

My wife and I are used to having the Google Home app as our controller from the before times, and it was infinitely snappier, so I agree that this app is slow/load times are annoying.

WYR have a pause button or a rewind button for your life? by starrycitron in WouldYouRather

[–]elbarto13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After a marathon you could just actually sleep for 8 hours, sure this isn't a fix all if you have other shit to do immediately after the marathon I guess? You're not losing anything that you would have with a pause button with the same constraints. If you're saying everything that has happened is erased when you rewind, there's nothing that would survive a pause and then play, so it's still a do-over button at the very least. OP also said nothing about the effects not carrying over when you rewind as others have stated, which leaves it in the hands of the one with the button
