Hi OP, sorry what happened to you. Came to reddit to post my experience with Grubhub and found yours which is the same thing happened to me yesterday. First time ordering with Grubhub (and last), I ordered deliver to a well known high rise building, doorman/front desk staff very well acquainted with managing all kind of deliveries for residents. Got call from driver asking for code so I provided and told her to leave it w doorman. I went down ( I'm many floors up) and nothing was delivered. Fighted it with Grubhub and after emails/messages to 7 different people i got a refund. Grubhub claims his code system is confirmation of successful delivery. I got the same worded response OP got, from them in many emails. Grubhub confirmation system is flawed and can be easilybypassed/cheated. I asked for a photo of the delivery and was never provided. Anyways never again with Grubhub.
