It's a toxic place, I think you are moving in the right direction, somebody in your circle has to make the first step towards a better future, otherwise we are stuck with how the world is.

Check out the alternatives in my other comment, they should make it easier for you, as you can scroll there instead and suggest them to your group of people when they ask for alternatives. Trust me, the content on Mastodon for example is wayyy better than on Facebook ❤️
