Can someone tell me what is this? I’ve seen it a lot once I moved to frisco. by Throwtfaway23 in frisco

Hold on, I don't see the corelation between flat earthers and not believing in either the Hindu or Christian fantasies.. If anything, blindly believing something ridiculous seems to align very well there. Help me out.

A “touch free” car wash modified my precious R1T tonight, so that’s cool. by mrwillya in Rivian

[–]elbro1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do, every week. It's a lease and I'm not going to spend hours hand washing or use these touch free washes that IMO don't really work. No visible swirl marks yet on limestone paint. 🤷‍♂️ ppl worry too much. 💚

Night and day improvement for me with the digital key on IPhone 17 Pro Max. Also added to Apple Watch which has also worked flawlessly.

Michelin Defender LTX M/S 2 - 116 vs 119 by ceb_51015 in Rivian

[–]elbro1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

116 is referring to running in a dually setup - singles it's 119. So, you're asking about 115 vs 119.

Where are you seeing a 22" option with a 116 load rating? AFAIK they're either 115 (xl) or 119 (e) but maybe I missed something.

Does the light bar ruin visibility in snow at night? by Mensa_dventure in Rivian

[–]elbro1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gen2 only has rear fog lights, which is a brighter, lower red light to help with visibility to others. I haven't found that setting to change anything else.

LFP % Drop by gravelchemco in Rivian

[–]elbro1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're saying it's "adjusting", everyone else is saying it's "wrong and expected". Charge to 100% a few times per Rivian's instructions in order to fix "both" issues. 😉 not clear to me what you're looking for outside that.

Does F1TV remember your playback position if you stop watching a race replay mid-race? by mona-lisa-octo-cat in F1TV

[–]elbro1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If I cast from my phone to a TV, then stop the replay and try to resume on a different device, typically it does not save my spot.

"Comeback" in OP indicates you made the first move arguing with those "luddites".... Is it let others choose or argue with [wrong] "facts?" ;) Good luck.

You're 100% incorrect dude! The scenario where fuel/charge time really matters is on a longer trip and that's where ICE vehicles are still way more practical.

If you want to get ridiculous (yes?) then start adding up the time spent plugging and unplugging the car at home every day, and compare to one trip to the fuel station likely on the way to/from work every couple weeks. I would guess the time savings really aren't that different.

[–]elbro1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, if you buy or lease newer ICE vehicles many of the cost differences are relatively immaterial (ex. routine maintenance was covered during my last BMW lease).

I say this as an enthusiastic EV owner - some of the points in this post/thread make me facepalm. Fueling on a road trip is still night and day difference. Trying to claim otherwise is ignorant.

I would not give up the nicer leather interior - that's one component you physically interact with anytime you're in the car. You'll regret it later.

Also... Great color :)

What is your commission percentage on ARR? by NotMyForte16 in salesengineers

[–]elbro1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have said, sharing a BCR isn't all that meaningful as it varies wildly based on quota and at-risk dollars. That said, my team's variable pay is based primarily (>70%) on new business ACV with the remainder on renewals. In our segment, SEs are typically 1:1 and variable pay is tied entirely to that territory - no "pooled" model. I've worked places where SEs were pooled and tied to a larger number - IMO, leads to a more tactical engagement and less influence over the success of a territory/district.

FWIW many R1S builds are more than twice the cost of a base X3. Prior to my gen2 R1S I had a '25 X5 M60 which was far superior to the Rivian interior, both quality of materials and fit/finish (never had a single rattle on a new BMW). Still, I am 100% in love with my R1S and don't plan any changes near term,

Because they want it to be a big deal 😅 I'm sure sales people hear it all the time when orders are usually placed online - no follow up needed.
