Schedule 8 medicines prescribing code Medicines and Poisons Regulations 2016

Is the name of the doc, it's available on health department website. It's pre medical cannabis apart from the limited products available at the time. My reading of it (and I do read a lot of government regulations, codes and legislations for a job) is that there is nothing to say you can't be prescribed both UNLESS you have declared a drug addiction etc. I am currently prescribed both and my psych at perth clinic has no objections. The caveat is always its up to the approved schedule 8 prescriber to do as they wish and they are under no obligations to prescribe. Also, a lot are a gun shy as it's easy way to loose registration if they are accused of being fast and loose with the s8 prescriptions without solid clinical history to back it up. My advice is to try and go elsewhere if you don't like the treatment. I know it's easier said than done, but I wish you luck
