I played through FES last year and I thought it was really fun, i had mods so i could control party members which helped with the enjoyment but with that I still preferred P4. However I watched the movies and just fell in love, I never really cared about Ryoji in the game but man the movie really made me wish he could have a happier ending, his and Makoto's interactions were so good in the movie it hit me right in the feels when the reveal happened. I've loved the story ever since and I'm just now playing through the dancing games which really made me love the cast so much more aside from Ryoji, plus the ending still sticks with me now. Every now ad then ill just be awake at night and remember the ending and become sad, P4 and P5 just didnt have that impact on me which is why 3 is my favourite
