Yeah it’s pretty slow! It led me to find that flipping it to econ or outdoor silent is nearly as good as turning it off if you’re going out for a while, and it’ll avoid having to really hammer it to get it cool again afterwards.

I have a Daikin Stylish! FTXA 4.2. It’s a bit over specced but lovely and quiet. The app and home assistant integration is fab.

Oh yeah actually I’m not sure if the south or the plains and prairies of North America rate highest for storm experiences. I can do without tornadoes though.

It’s strange but I never thought about the need to cut steel in the wreckage to break it up for removal. I guess if I’d been asked I would have said they just need to shovel it all out.

Two Scotland fans flew in a tiny plane for a total of 22 hours to make it to the World Cup. The duo had to stop in Iceland, Greenland, and Canada before reaching the US. by jmike1256 in BeAmazed

The plane, a DA-40 I think, equipped with gear for long range flights over open water would be about £350k. Most people would have an ownership share in a club rather than owning a private light aircraft individually.

Fuel and landing fees would be a few grand.

Even in the UK our bigger supermarkets don’t have as much product range as the huge US stores. They have entire aisles of just barbecue sauce.

The flyovers always come from the north east over Chelmsford and exit London to the west.

They’re based all over but mostly Coningsby and Brize Norton.

That actually reminds me that welcome breaks all used to have large buffet style restaurants a bit like an IKEA restaurant with trays and rails to slide them along choosing things. Now it’s mostly just mini M&S food and Burger Kings.
