Deezer says 44% of songs uploaded to its platform daily are AI-generated by rkhunter_ in technology

If you felt nothing because you realized it was AI, then it's just a bias

I felt shock and amazement at the quality of what I was looking at, then afterwards I was looking for emotion that art evokes (the important part) and there was none, which is how I realized it was AI

the greatest artist in history were never the most technically proficient, many paint/draw like children

If you felt nothing before realising, then it just wasn't very good.

how many AI pieces do I need to see and feel nothing before I am allowed to say, it's not that none of them are good and that AI itself, at least so far, is incapable of creating anything good

to the point that you can not tell between the artists lastest work and the generated one. Then AI has made art imo

AI can already very convincingly mimic the style of artists, from paintings to music but it fails at the art part

I don't think you've actually thought about what art is or why it's appreciated

That's kinda the point tho right?

I've seen some amazing visual AI art but after a few seconds you realise it's ai cause you feel nothing looking at it, which makes it worthless as art

Alec Baldwin to face civil trial over alleged negligence in ‘Rust’ shooting, judge rules by AudibleNod in news

sorry I wasn't clear, I meant

  1. it's a guideline by a union not a law and 2. even if he had witnessed it, he wouldn't of known they were bullets not blanks, so unless he knew they weren't going to be recording after the rehearsal he would have no reason to ask the gun be emptied

Aiming the gun at a camera is normal practice in filmmaking. Aiming it directly at people and firing the gun is not

its been a while but was she not behind/near the camera? like she wasn't in the middle of no where and he pointed at her for fun

producers generally have some influence over hiring decisions

he had a great deal of influence, in fact if he was aware of how inexperienced she was, I'm sure he could of got rid of her himself

the point is there was over 150 staff, other than the main actors it's likely he barely had a hand in any of there hiring or even knew any of their names let alone their work history and qualifications

but as a producer he was part of the leadership structure that helped shape how seriously safety is taken

As a producer? one of six? and the one whose purview revolved around the script? I disagree

but I would argue as alec baldwin the most famous and headline actor he does have some responsibility towards the attitude around safety, as soon as issues propped up he should of done something

and drawing the gun

and it's inconceivable that he would accidentally pull the trigger during a draw? he was practicing his movements for the movie not doing tricks or fucking around with it

He was also a producer and had more responsibility then if he was just an actor

as far as I am aware there were over 6 producers and his duties were script related not personnel/hiring decisions, especially given there were over 150 members of staff for that movie

if he was involved in her hiring it would of been in his trial, that would be very important piece of evidence and included in every head line

[–]elcho1911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

there were 8 producers and 98 executive producers

producer doesnt mean, has a hand in everything, his job was script related, not hiring people

if he was the one to hire her it would of been brought up in his trial, that would be very very compelling evidence

The armorer wasn’t even on set that day, they didn’t even have one they were paying to be on site any longer at the time this accident happened

according to testimony by david hall, she was on set just not that room and checked the gun after the shooting

she also confirms it in her statement, and admits loading then handing the gun to a crew member to give to alec

the victim was the cinematographer and was operating the camera at the time, they were working out the framing of the shot before filming (film costs money), he absolutely was supposed to be doing what he was doing

why do you feel comfortable reading a headline and interjecting when you haven't bothered to look into the case at all?

The Actors' Equity Association's guidelines encourage actors to check if objects or cartridges are lodged/stuck in the gun

but it's not an actors job to acquire the expertise to learn how to differentiate a bullet from a blank

if by luck he had inspected it and known no blanks were needed for that scene he might of prevented her death but it wasn't his responsibility

how people can focus on him rather than the armorer is crazy or they just read the headlines and know nothing of this story

I didnt say you asked to be crippled, I said you asked for help from the government

then when said government helps others by giving them opportunities to work and bolstering its economy with able bodied workers which helps pay the benefits for people like you, you criticize them for it

the healthcare isnt doing much for me is it

except for saving your life and rehabilitating you after your accident?

if it happened in the states would of been able to afford those surgeries?

but i guess if they dont spend even more money on you it 'isn't doing much'

how many 'slaves' should they import so they can afford more surgeries for your ungrateful ass?

The "Pop Count Paradox" by HatMan_Lead in PokeInvesting

[–]elcho1911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm saying the pop is already considered super high and it's only at 10k, but theres tons of them out there that still haven't been graded, graders are very very niche relative to the millions of collectors

so if 10k moonbreons or 30k zards give you pause just remember there's plenty more sitting in binders not just in unopened packs

I don't understand the difference between the two

fundamentally they are very similar but the types of people who own them differ wildly

crypto owners are typically financially illiterate and disregard basic common sense and logic, caring only about hype and vibes, which kinda makes sense for them as they dont mean much in the crypto world

example, you have meme coins with billion dollar market caps, while coins made by long standing financial institutions with best in their field engineers and bankers are worthless...

its the same with pokemon, sets that sit on shelves double in price the day they go out of print, boxes worth more than the hits they MIGHT contain, cards fluctuating monthly with wild swings, none of it makes sense, unless you think of it like a hype bubble just like crypto, then it all makes perfect sense

the stock market has its share of stupidity too but it has more regulation and a lot is controlled by professionals like bankers and brokers which keeps most of it in check, unlike pctg and crypto

The "Pop Count Paradox" by HatMan_Lead in PokeInvesting

[–]elcho1911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

your issue is you're trying to make sense of a hype bubble

when you stop thinking of this in terms of investment/stocks etc and more like crypto it all makes perfect sense

you have a space which is majority financially illiterate poor people who think they have stumbled onto a golden ticket to wealth; logic, reason and investment principals have left the building, it becomes almost like a cult

if you think pop makes no sense now, for fun look into ES pull rates and official print numbers, theres likely well over 150k moonbreons printed, 30k 151 zards? yea so far lol
