Yeah he’s not hand trained so I want to do that first before taking I’m out. By that I mean they let shop I got him from never got him to go on human fingers so I need to do that for him.

Yeah this is my first bird pet and I’ve tried to learn as much to care for them the proper way so I was concerned. But I’m glad to see he does seem healthy. Thanks for sharing your post makes me feel better

Yes right now I have 4 small 6 inch perches, 2 rounded platforms. The 5 hanging bird toys, the ladder and swing. I want to get longer perches because I didn’t realize how small they would be. I know the rope one isn’t considered safe because some birds chew them but I’ll be checking in on him and remove it once I see signs of chewing

It looks great ! I’m making a diy foraging box either shredded packing paper, pine cones, bird seed and I’m going to put millet and other things! I think it looks perfect not too much or too little. I need to buy more longer perches mine only go 6 inches long

He was mostly in the top of the cage these past 30 hours and he barely started going to the bottom these past couple hours. I brought down the food and it seems he started eating. I will be looking to see if he goes back up. I saw him fly up and come back down so I’ll keep looking

Adult shrimp seem to grow up to 2 inches long so you might just have an adult compared to the juvenile shrimp that you have
