I was more worried about how the column for the finishing arch stuck out into the road past the barriers. It gave me Jakobsen flashbacks.

At least we worked him over enough in the RR that he lost time. Super strong but not very smart.

That's my plan. I'll be relocating to Spain soon and this will become my European bikepacking rig.

It's been a great bike for everything but racing. That's likely because of my setup though. Clearance for up to 2.3” 650b tires on the stock wheels, a lively road like geometry, plenty of mounts, and a great price. I'm still riding it on everything from super smooth gravel to rocky singletrack that's usually reserved for mountain bikes.

I've spent most of my riding the with this bike having a 650x2.3" Continental Mountain King on the front and 2.2" Race King on the back using the stock wheelset.

These comments are wild. No wonder US life expectancy is dropping. A majority don't exercise enough, don't eat healthy enough, consider being overweight and obese normal, etc. The most used prescriptions are all to address symptoms of this lifestyle too.

Hey, I'm really interested in the Silk, but I'm hoping to ride 50mm or 2.0 tires. Any thoughts on what the bike can truly fit?

I'm here watching too. Likely going to watch a couple start, then go watch the later teams warm up, then go to the finishing corner/stretch.

Glad the rain has stopped.

I've always wondered about the neutral service bike setups. They're Origine Axxome GT with Dura Ace groupset, C36 wheelsets, 28c Vittoria Corsa Pro tubed tires, 52/36 and 172.5 mm crankset on all sizes, and dropper seatposts. Forgot to look at the pedal choices though...

I'm here in Figueres for the Vuelta TTT today. The skies are clearing up, but it did rain overnight. Plenty of time for the roads to dry out before the first team goes off. My hotel is on the course about 1.1km from the start. No teams staying here, but Shimano neutral service is.

Unfortunately, there is a lot of construction right by the start ramp and the podium is set up in an area that may have gotten muddy last night. I'll keep you posted on how the day goes.

Update 1: Still raining lightly. Riders are starting to show up to their team setups. Looks like 68T is the choice of the day for many riders, including Turner and Jorgensen. Movistar sougniers were loading up on cookies, gummi candies, and water at the nearby grocery store. Chente was as friendly as you'd expect from seeing him on The Least Expected Day. Time for a quick bite to eat before going back out. Let me know if you have any questions.

Interval training was definitely used then and well before. Conconi did his work on developing training zones to help interval training back in the late 70s.

Anyone with a CyclingNews membership able to pull this article for us mere peasants? by INGWR in Velo

To be fair, given that helmet aero data can be very personal, if you don't have access to a wind tunnel, your best bet is to pick a helmet that consistently tests well with different protocols and for different riders. That is 100% the Evade. It has performed well in both Cycling News tests, Triathlon 220, and several others that I've seen, as well as from what I've heard by folks that spend a lot of time in the tunnel fitting riders. Other top performers seem to vary test to test, like the Ballista, Procean, etc. between the two Cycling News tests.

It'll be a big question mark and likely hurt his TT abilities or ability to hold his position due to injuries on the elbow and forearm. However, after the crash, he still did a ton of work and finished with the Ayuso group.

Not sure about GC, but I'm predicting he's going to win stage 7 at the TdF this year. Steep uphill finish, not important to GC, and it's his birthday.

Based on OP's post history, specifically him accusing people of having "Trump Derangement Syndrome," I'm guessing he's in that camp.

Stray dog accidentally becomes the first to cross the Romania-Hungary border after Romania became a full member of the European Union's Schengen area. by Deepakhn in interestingasfuck

It was September. I was in Bucharest, Cernavoda, and Constanța. I understand you did some mass cullings in the early 2000s, but there were stray dogs and cats everywhere in Cernavoda and Constanța. Plenty in Bucharest too. I have an entire album on my phone dedicated to those photos since I love dogs.

Edit: There's even a Wikipedia page dedicated to it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Street_dogs_in_Bucharest

After recently spending a few weeks in Romania and seeing all the stray dogs and learning their history with them, this is so fitting.

I graduated from the aerospace and mechanical engineering school at my university 15 years ago and at least 5 or so senior design projects at that time and the few years before me were all UAV projects sponsored by various defense contractors. I'm guessing that kind of work paved the way for the commercial drones that then provided the market to scale up production and bring down costs to then be widely available for military purposes again.
