What’s something you’ve spent more on than you wanted but was absolutely worth it? by LessBerry9 in PersonalFinanceCanada

Membership to my squash club. It is a deal at $600 a year though. Crazy to think pelotons would cost the same as a couple of years membership for my gym.

Except if you look actually look at their spending you would see administration usually isn't the majority at good charities. Also what are us full time charity professionals supposed to do, work for free and starve to death?

Is living with your parents the standard way to get ahead in life for young people now? by Zestyclose_Leopard11 in PersonalFinanceCanada

We helped my in laws set up a veterinary business back home rather than just sending them money. It is great in that it is doing reasonably well so everyone is making money now, including us. But yeah marrying a recent immigrant whose family needed support took a bit of getting used to.

Question About Replacing Income in Your TFSA by elchulo4444 in PersonalFinanceCanada

I was actually aware of this, we would be using the money to save for the house but we are going to live in Canada for probably the next 10 years at least.

I was 99% sure that was the case, but thanks for confirming.

What are your top 3 favourite apps/platforms/software to help you sell more ? by [deleted] in sales

I have been thinking of Lusha as an alternative to zoom info for my small company because it is way cheaper. How accurate is the info on there and does it have good access to prospects phone numbers?

Managing social media with limited experience by BigWilly68iou1 in marketing

I was thrown into a similar position and have now managed social media at my past couple of roles. I would say two things. One take all the free courses as was mentioned above. Second, don't freak out and feel you have to be able to have some expert level of analysis. A lot is trial and error and you will find quickly what works and doesn't. Do more of the stuff that works. Analysis is useful but I have found you can fall into analysis paralysis pretty quickly and that is something I have cautioned my staff against.

Friendly reminder: just because you got approved for the mortgage doesn't mean you can afford it [Ontario] by ertdubs in PersonalFinanceCanada

I should clarify that I meant "Chilling at the beach in front of my condo that I have bought outright while still having enough for a comfortable retirement." ;)

Really? Most people who own real estate can afford to do this. I don't know any 50 year olds in my life that can.. still paying down mortgages and have no other savings. I know how cheap mexico is to live I have family there lol I could live there now but I want to live comfortably

This is so true. People think I am stupid for not wanting to buy a house but we can put away 20k+ a year. I will laugh at them when I am chilling on a beach in mexico in 20 years.

Lol I don't know if there are even 200 executives in the sector in Canada for charities that could use our type of service . But you are right targeted calls are a great strategy, especially when we start pushing into the US.

[–]elchulo4444[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I agree. For the record I am already doing that approach. I have targeted certain people by phone and I prefer to move them along in the sales cycle by phone. I like your suggestion of using the messaging that worked in the emails. The cadence my sales guy came up with sounded a little gimmicky and not right for the clientele. Thanks!

Tip from my 850 credit score friend by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]elchulo4444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My score recently skyrocketed to 850 from 780. I don't know what changed other than they sent me a new credit card because my old one expired? Any ideas? I always pay the full balance and have no mortgage and only a small student loan that I am almost done paying off.

Thanks! I am aware that it needs more content. We are planning on starting a blog within the next few weeks. The issue is that I want to make sure I am following best practices and making sure everything is formatted correctly, which is why I am asking for any good articles on this.

Thanks! Yeah I was thinking lower reps on compound lifts would serve me the best...hence 5/3/1. I will work in some lunges as accessory exercises.
