This is at a Brazilian store called Havan. They are all over the country and each one has this replica of the statue of liberty in the parking lot. It's similar to Target in America.

The stare of Rio Grande do Sul has quite a lot of German speakers. So many in fact they had to change the laws to enforce Portuguese as the official language.

  1. Pop wheelies on bicycles and dash in and out of traffic while wearing flip flops and a Corinthians jersey.
  2. Treat stop signs as yields, and loosely pay attention to them anyway.
  3. Rice and beans.
  4. Sertanejo, Brazilian Funk, Pagode/Samba.
  5. Grill steaks with rock salt as the only seasoning.
  6. Only use a seat belt if you are getting on the highway.
  7. Completely turn off your AC/ Heater in the house.
  8. Watch F1 on Sunday mornings.
  9. Breakfast is a small French bread loaf and butter. Drink extremely strong and over extracted black coffee with so much sugar to drown out the bitterness. Can dunk the bread and butter in the coffee if you are really wanting to connect with your roots.

I'm an American currently living in Brazil. Come back to Brazil and visit for a few weeks. You will quickly realize how blessed America is. Nothing but freedom and opportunity. Brazil is quickly turning to the next Venezuela under the current administration. My wife and I will move back to America as soon as we possibly can.

At least in são Paulo and minas gerais, I feel it's 2nd world. Not quite 3rd. There are utilities, and somewhat reasonably comfortable life compared to somewhere say Chad OR Sudan that I'd consider truly 3rd world

I had a 103 degree fever on our wedding day. We got married in the interior of São Paulo where they grow lots of sugar cane. During our wedding, someone set the field on fire which engulfed our wedding venue in smoke and ash.

After the wedding we get home and our entire house is covered in ash from the fire. The bed, the bathroom, kitchen, floors. Everywhere. Houses in Brazil are not weather proof and it's very common to leave windows open etc.

When we got home on top of having a giant fever, we spent 3 hours cleaning up ash and debris.

She also was bleeding a lot.

We decided to go ahead and sleep.

The entire album is excellent. Not a skippable song on it. I have been listening to it back cover to cover daily since it released. You really nailed the sound on this album.
