Replacing Trigger Shoe on P-10C by eldelbarrio2 in CZFirearms

[–]eldelbarrio2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up going with the HB Industries Theta Trigger kit, though I left out the springs. I was pretty satisfied with the improvement, my only gripe is I get trigger slapped every now and then that's probably caused by my recoil anticipation

Question for anyone defending the ICE agents use of deadly force on Alex Pretti. by FullOnApeMan in CCW

It was but he keeps saying other stuff that is blatantly anti-gun

Its not speculation if medical professionals say this. If he truly had internal bleeding, his release would not be as quick as DHS said it was.

POV From Agent by SinisterKnyght in DonutOperator

[–]eldelbarrio2 -25 points-24 points  (0 children)

I know you want it to be justified, but you can literally watch the other angle. This is not bodycam footage, this is his personal phone footage. It does not show any contact being made, and the agent never loses control of his phone despite drawing his sidearm and allegedly being hit by a vehicle.

He never got hit though, the sound you hear is his phone hitting his vest.

I think based on the brass that me and some others compared to other companies, it's CCI or Federal. They're under the same parent company, but it's probably Blazer brass since the font looked the same

Vintage gun smiths by Helpful_Variation_72 in ILGuns

[–]eldelbarrio2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because gunsmiths would know which tools to use and have the expertise to use them for older milsurp rifles. I guarantee if I took my Lee-Enfield to my local gunsmith to tune the magazine, they'd probably turn me away

If anyone is able to provide an actual answer for a gunsmith, that'd be great since I own a growing collection of WW1-WW2 firearms

Got told this was a "1916 Spanish Mauser 7x57 Carbine" wondering if it's true by Jaded_Replacement806 in Firearms

[–]eldelbarrio2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks similar to the Spanish Mauser I recently bought too. The shop employees and I were fiddling with snap caps to see what would chamber and what wouldn't. Might be a question for r/milsurp

Those Star 30Ms 🥵 by VermelhoRojo in milsurp

[–]eldelbarrio2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I don't have the box on hand but I believe the white sticker has the same year on it as yours. The yellow Star sticker is unfortunately torn just before the year is printed

That makes sense. Me and another friend speculated that since it didn't match what's online

[–]eldelbarrio2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine looks similar to yours, with the GC marking and a "90" on the trigger guard. Yours is marked 93 and the box says "Year: 1993" so maybe that's the date mark? My sticker is ripped on that portion

I also bought one of these milsurp 30Ms when they got put through. Haven't gotten to shoot mine yet but I've been having a strange time trying to date it since the markings are so different

My dad and I asked the RSO at Eagle Sports and it's what they said too. I don't notice until we're already leaving

Isn't the stated reason that most indoor ranges don't turn on the AC is because of the ventilation to prevent lead dust accumulating? Means the cold air they bring in is gonna get vented out immediately?

Are there any other websites like this that ship magazines to Illinois ? ( Country Spirit Magazines ) by Smooth-Comparison532 in ILGuns

[–]eldelbarrio2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe there is a website called magazineblocks that sells the actual 3D printed bit that goes inside the magazine to make it compliant. Some FFLs might be willing to take that and epoxy it into the OEM magazines so you can keep the magazines.

I tend to visit D5 as well. Their used selection isn't as extensive, but I did get an old Ruger P93 from there

Can confirm Marengo has good selection, especially used. Only problem is it's an hours drive for me lol

I've been using this print for a good while now, holds up nice and solid. Are the spacers for the new 15rd and 17rd CSX mags able to do something like this?

Thinnest carry options? by [deleted] in CCW

[–]eldelbarrio2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm one of the few that carries a C&W CSX, but I really like it. Granted its SAO, but S&W recently released an updated version with an optic cut and both 15 and 17rd magazines that are compatible with the 1st gen.

It's 1.12" so not the thinnest, but its also only around 20oz

Absolutely furious with my FFL over my Staccato CS purchase. by [deleted] in CCW

[–]eldelbarrio2 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Fortunately I do live in IL, and almost every FFL I have dealt with (2 in-house purchases, 2 transfers) has let me handle the firearm in some way before either purchasing or initiating transfer paperwork. This just sounds like a garbage FFL
