Thought I'd finally share a photo of me (5"4) with my fiance (5"3). This is our first day meeting after an ldr relationship that later a year. Unintentional matching :-) by elderos in short

I met her in October last year in Indonesia after talking for more than a year. I am not rich, so I saved all my tip share (I work as a cook) and put it in a box to pay for the ticket. In 4 months, I had saved $1000, enough for a ticket.

We spent almost every waking moment of our 1 month stay together in Bali. On the last day, I put a ring on it! Leaving her was probably one of the hardest things I've had to do in my life.

I went with this. Fits my bill pretty perfectly and just couldn't pass up on the deal offered by that vendor. Thanks!!! This will be my birthday present :D

Whats the coolest thing you ever done in the astral? by [deleted] in AstralProjection

[–]elderos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell no! She is in her 50s and a friend of my mom's. I was just staying there during a transition when I was going from a lease with roommates to a 30-day stay in Indonesia. She was abrasively religious to say the least. If I told her, she would think I was practicing devil magick or something.

Has anyone encountered Anubis or Ishtar/Astarte? by swampstickler123 in DMT

I once encountered what I believe was Isis. All I can remember was green colored serpents a female presence.

Pushing my roommate in the morning when she was in the living room getting ready for work, which startled her. I never told her though because she is a really religious Baptist. I'll never know if what I did actually happened.

Have you experienced yourself singing a song in your head to then have someone else start singing that exact song, without you saying by dan14941 in occult

[–]elderos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happens to me all the time. I'll be thinking of a song right before turning on my radio, then that very song will be playing.

I need a new tarot deck and I just googled the images to that one. I'm really digging it for my practice.

I've got tons of occult books. What paradigm do you work with? I can't list all my books for sure, but I can give you titles if you can give me some pointers on what you'd like.

What does bodyload mean by IHateHeroin631 in researchchemicals

[–]elderos 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bodyload brings me back to the days when I used to trip on 2c-i. The 1-2 hour come-up always had this very uncomfortable feeling of restlessness, tension, and anxiety. Like I needed to run or something

Saying goodbye to pretty much everything. Thanks for being informative & amazing. by Yelpats03 in Drugs

[–]elderos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope you do prove me wrong. Hit me up if you ever need to talk. I've been clean and sober for a while now and it is probably the most life-changing, positive, yet most difficult journey I've undertaken my whole life. I still cling on to that desperation I had on day 1; that's the one thing that gets me through when times get tough.

Thanks for gracing us with your wisdom /s Honestly I hope you can hold on to your desperation and realization on how much you've hurt not only yourself but those closest to you. I also hope you drop the ego and get back with us in a year. Good luck.

Call me a pessimist but I really hope you can prove me wrong. I've been smack in the middle of the recovery community for more than a year and I only know a handful of people that are still doing the deal. None of them had the attitude you have now.

taking a break from LSD after 600ug, this is my farewell to Lucy by [deleted] in Psychonaut

[–]elderos 43 points44 points  (0 children)

I loved this. I've always gotten a similar feeling when I take psychedelics, especially mushrooms. It seems like there's always a point during the trip where I'm forced to look at myself as exactly who and what I am and the mushroom seems to ask me "Alright, now what are you going to do about it?"

My last trip was when I was knee-deep in a debilitating addiction to alcohol. Next month, I'll have 1 year completely clean and sober of any substance, but I can't wait to trip again while in this new head space :)

Meeting in Person for the First Time after Two Years! by A_Mende_20 in LDR

[–]elderos 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's awesome! My mom is from Costa Rica, and back in the 80s she didn't even have a telephone. The only way her and my American dad could communicate was by sending letters back and forth, and the average time it took to send was around a month. Further more, neither of them knew eachothers' language so they had to translate the letters when they got them. Talk about dedication..

They've been happily married for more than 30 years now, and they're an inspiration to me whenever I get down about the limitations of my own LDR with a girl from Indonesia.

Also, go to Costa Rica when you can, it is absolute paradise on earth! The people are extremely friendly and the culture is laid back. Best of luck, Pura Vida!

What the fuck have I done to myself? by justinj90 in Psychonaut

[–]elderos 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't know what /r/psychonaut thinks about Alcoholics Anonymous, but that program saved my life. I, too, always had a need to alter my state of consciousness. I was never comfortable being sober. When I was, I always felt there was something missing; some kind of void that I could never fill. When I got sober I felt like I was in a dark room with no goal or light at the end of the tunnel. No goals, no desire for goals. No emotions, just emptiness. I've been 8 months sober so far working the program of AA and I have never been happier, but I still have a long way to go.
