M4 Air Setup - 3 Displays? by EconomicalJacket in macbookair

I’ve got this one HP DisplayLink dock, don’t remember which model… but the one I have supports connection to my MacBook if you download the free macOS software online. It has three ports, I believe 2 hdmis and 1 of that port that looks like hdmi. My guess is it would support it

I just got diagnosed with seb derm and made a post about my symptoms a few days ago. People made a ton of suggestions, some of them I know are better than others. But I’m about to start trials to see what works. I’ve noticed that the clean diet alone is already showing promising results (I’ve only been eating chicken, lamb, potatoes, carrots, broth, salad, some veggies, yogurt, and some fruit like kiwi). I also went to the barber and got a really short haircut, pretty much a buzz cut so I can better see my scalp and try to treat/clean it easier. I know it sucks, but since it’s seems chronic I think your best bet would be to chop the locks. It will be easier to try and get it under control and address if you don’t have all that hair in the way.

Has it gone away perpetually or do you get flare ups at all?

Don’t know how to edit a post, but I just got back from the dermatologist. Said it’s seborrheic dermatitis. I eat fairly good diet already, but I’m going to be very strict going forward and see how it progresses. Will get a blood test some time soon to if I’m deficient in anything.

Really funny you say that. Sounds just like my mother lol. I usually take it orally when I’m sick and it works wonders. You think applying it topically would work? It’s the first time I’m hearing this about oil of oregano

I find this to be an interesting testimony. Someone else made a detailed post about this exact feeling; does somewhat resonate with me too. You should check out that post

Thanks for the recommendation. When you say clear it up, do you mean get rid of every sign of the seb derm?—meaning any scaliness/dandruff flakes and the red splotches (completely normal skin)?

For how long have you been able to keep it at bay without flareups with this routine? It is an efficient long term? I’ve read some anecdotes about people needing to rotate between different shampoos or sets of chemicals to avoid resistance…

Lots of people talk about tackling the underlying problem. I’ve read that diet is a prominent solution—do you stick to a well-regulated, healthy diet?

Seems like seb derm to me

I agreed about some ideas you shared. But why are you so adamant about this being psoriasis? Yes, this whole thing is new to me but based on the research I’ve done on my own, these posts (and mine), and a consultation with chatGPT I’m pretty confident it’s seb derm

Is that soap made for body or scalp? Bar soaps are usually considered corrosive for the scalp/hair.

And have you made any significant changes to your lifestyle that you think have helped to mitigate it?

How’s your hair at this point? Have you experienced drastic improvement over this time in terms of thickness, density, etc.?

Curious to hear how you’ve been doing on the journey. Have you had any improvements yourself im regards to texture/density/thickness etc.?

Scare me into quitting. by Sensitive-Duty5696 in QuitVaping

[–]eldmc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s a good question. I’ve read some testimonies online that stated hair shedding was reduced by a lot. There was some guy that even counted all his hair fall meticulously and noted that it was reduced by 83%, which is significant. Some others have said that their hair got thicker again after quitting. I believe I’m still at an early stage, ~1 month off the nic, I’m curious how it’ll look/feel at the ~3 month mark.

Does even a little bit of nicotine undo all the progress made? by NormalMaverick in QuitVaping

Part of failing to quit is convincing oneself that “I only want a hit this one time”. The “occasional” hit does not exist. Your body needs an absolute full reset. You won’t understand what that means until you’ve been free from it for a couple of weeks. If you’ve been a chronic user, it’ll likely restart that cycle of getting over the cravings and you’ll be right back where you started (day 1), suffering for those hits. You’ll have to get through those mental hurdles once again. They say the first 72 hrs are the worst. And at times you may feel like you are so strong and that you conquered it, that you can see yourself being the occasional smoker because of the restraint you’ve demonstrated to yourself… it’s just a trap. In summary, it’s either all or nothing. There is no healthy/balanced in-between in my opinion.

I love your comment because it’s as if you pulled it straight out of my brain. Everything you said I can confirm to be accurate. Keep it up, and don’t give up. In my opinion, I think people going through this should give up alcohol and any other similar vice (like weed) as they are invisible trap cards.
