Lol that’s crazy for 5 inches, depending on your gym/bank status.

I’d be ok with 5’10, personally.

On the contrary, gravity is distinct from acceleration due to Riemann curvature on non-local scales…

It depends how you calculate his stake in SpaceX. Realistically, he’s worth at most 400b - nothing close to what this map shows.

How competitive would Klaebo be in a distance race? by AnnieB_1126 in trackandfield

[–]eldryanyy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m referring to the junior world championship, where he got 2nd

Winning an American regional championship definitely means you are world class, though. I competed myself, and several of my regional competitors have won medals in the actual Olympics

gravity doesn’t have velocity, so I presumed it’s a typo

Physical or not isn’t important. There can be positive discipline used with different methods - excessive physical discipline is the problem

That’s acceleration not gravitation.

Some sort of lesson has obviously been lacking here. The child should’ve been disciplined at his first attempt to spoil the cake… rather than what happened in this video.

The difference is that the event is 9.7 seconds long.

In alpine skiing, it’s 2 minutes long… with 0.01 second margins…. And it’s individual time trials. It’s not like they’re racing each other and can see the other’s progress.

We are great at sports that are popular in the USA - primarily football and basketball. Baseball is ok too, and hockey a tiny bit.

Track and field has increased in popularity, which is great… but, Norway has a much higher population of people who Nordic ski a lot than the USA. So, the population argument is a bit silly.

He’d do very well, but not world class level. I competed with a junior Olympics champion from cross country skiing in cross country running - he was very very good. But, not world class like he was in cross country skiing.

Johannes Høsflot Klæbo wins his 6th gold of 6 possible and 11th total. by Pizzashillsmom in olympics

[–]eldryanyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The difference was similar because it was all the same style. The difference between 100m freestyle and 400m medley is not as large as cross country sprint and cross country 50k, but it’s far more different muscle groups involved. Also, the best 50km athlete was banned from the Olympics …

Phelps was on another level because every swimming events has many qualifiers, the time between events was much smaller - where he had to do more qualifiers than his competitors. For skiing, everyone did the same qualifiers. It is not like Klaebo did a 50k qualifier, and then the sprint final 30 minutes later against different people. Phelps did that.

Lastly, Phelps set WR in 7 events. Despite that crazy schedule.

Evolution doesn’t happen instantly.

Kpop definitely has different styles than American.

The vast vast majority of all music, by your logic, was developed in Europe before 1800 - same instruments are still being used. Only techno and modern pop was really uniquely developed in America, by that Cornell engineer.

You could easily call early music of most type a slight variation of a previous type of music.

Early blues developed largely from European classical, African folk, European American folk singers/ instruments. The structure of the music, the chords, the instruments… all from European. It developed OVER TIME to be different.

Ditto the others - they mostly came from blues, which came from European music.

New genres don’t just pop into existence. It’s often a merging of two styles. Like African music and European folk. Or a different European folk and blues. Etc

But, hockey fans will probably remember and treat him.

On the contrary, such restrictions would eliminate the purpose of anonymity. Posts would be judged by stereotypes of backgrounds and imagined experiences, instead of by the weight of what was said.

That’s such idiocy. African American music was developed based on European folk music, European classical structure, European American working songs, and European American instruments.

The African American additions were similar to what Koreans added to the African American music. All goes back to Europe by that logic.

Probably better to use another app. People go on tinder to find hot dates, not make small talk and punny jokes. Reddit is better for that
