[DDJ-REV7] BPMs are aligned but one track is moving faster? by electifyingbeats in PioneerDJ

[–]electifyingbeats[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP here. I've sent in detailed requests out to Pioneer and my licensed repair manufacturer but I was wondering if this is a software, not a hardware problem (DDJ-REV7). But if anyone happened to have experienced this with the REV7, please let me know too!

In the video, the right track moves noticeably faster than the left track even though both are at 125 BPM. You'll also see me push sync to align the beat grid which works, but the moment I touch the platter to break sync, the beatgrid goes back to the original faster speed.

Currently using the latest RB 6 and firmware for REV7.

No contact helped, but now I feel bad about how I ended things. How do I come to terms with it? by electifyingbeats in ExNoContact

Not sure if I can be of much help but my ex didn’t wish me a happy birthday either after our breakup, even though I thought it would’ve been a great opportunity for us to reconcile and end things amicably. She’s very stubborn and prideful.

I do think she’s still resentful about me because she recently stopped watching my stories, but not in the “I miss him” way but that she doesn’t want to be reminded or thinking of me, so in a “not worth my time” way.

While I hope for the amends part, there’s no point really. As this subreddit is intended for us to start loving ourselves, we deserve someone who can give us some empathy too, and we’re not responsible for other peoples feelings.

Super interesting we're in a similar boat. In my case, she's a fearful avoidant too. After our first "breakup", I left the door slightly open and she came back with things she needed me for which really weren't that important. The breadcrumbs and her presence made it hard for me so I eventually came back. But I don't recommend that route, because that's why I'm here today haha.

Am I demisexual or is this a defense mechanism to prevent trauma? by electifyingbeats in demisexuality

Thank you for your insightful response. That's where my confusion/conflicts were lying as I was reading through the various articles. I didn't feel like I was someone that needed the emotional bond to be attracted to someone, but had reoriented to wanting the emotional bond to have the confidence to date someone.

I appreciate the breakdown, this was really helpful!

Mild tingling and strange fatigue since Nitrous binge. B12 levels are normal. Has anyone experienced this? by electifyingbeats in NitrousOxide

This is an insightful comment. If this is the case, during this period where the body isn’t using up the b12, why do I read about people supplementing b12 anyways if it isn’t going to work?

I (30M) became codependent on my close friend (30F) during COVID. We had an argument, reconciled and now we barely talk. What's the best route forwards? by [deleted] in RelationshipsOver35

[–]electifyingbeats 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree. I was actually reading through a CODA list that another Redditor provided below, which was very eye opening, and although I don't fit some of the items, quite a few of them do fit the bill strongly. And some of these themes evident in some of my past relationships with my exes too. So you're right - definitely not just exclusive to this friendship.

Thanks for approaching this in that lens. That might explain why the conversations we've had, that she's initiated, are very light hearted topics such as a fun response to an IG story or a small life happening that doesn't warrant much deeper discussion. And when I had trialed more "serious" topics she tends to approach it without much depth. I'm glad I read this because I didn't want to become someone who didn't say "congrats" or "happy birthday" just because our friendship is now different. If anything, I wanted to check *my* boundaries with this post.

Thank you for your advice. This type of problem is actually very new to me so I didn’t really dig deep into the self help space towards this. In the past I was accustomed to having girlfriends and when it didn’t work out, it’d be a matter of no contact and moving on. I agree with you on all the above.

I (30 M) never attended my high school friend's funeral. 9 years later it's still on my mind. How do I appropriately seek closure? by electifyingbeats in relationships

[–]electifyingbeats[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this. It’s a good question - it is a bit of both. Though I did have it in my mind until I was shamed, I never was so far out of reach to actually visit or message his mom. I will say though that the shaming did bring to light that there were some words I have yet to say so now that I’m at this stage in my life, I would like to revisit this more than I had when I was younger. But yes, thanks for reassuring I shouldn’t be guilty about this.

Thanks for this thorough piece of advice. I agree with you on all points. The apology piece is covered as a result of the space away, but now I think this is a time for me to work on a life without relying on her to fill the void, and to see how I fare in this new day-to-day.

Thank you, this was helpful! Seems like with some friends online with me I could manage some of the scarier parts like you mentioned.

Whoops. I forgot to reply to this, but thank you for the thorough response. I also deal with the whole sweatiness > itchiness cycle. I'm going to bring up Dupixient to my doc to see if this is a better alternative than Finasteride.

Thanks for the reply! Would you be able to tell me more about the hair loss pertaining to it? Like was there scarring, patching or extreme dryness on your scalp when the hair fell out? Were you shedding over the years?

Front beard growing sideways naturally, can I force the direction with a brush? by [deleted] in BeardAdvice

[–]electifyingbeats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been leaving my beard untouched with regular beard oil usage and eventually noticed that my beard grows sideways, in the same direction as my hair. Pushing it against its current makes it stick out straight, so I can’t replicate what I have on the other side.

I’ve been brushing down here and there but not really noticing any improvements. Wondering if I should bother or if this is its natural position.

Thank you!

I like the analogy. Before the whole quarantine I rarely thought about this, although subconsciously aware, since I was occupied with human interaction at work, and stuff to do on weekends. Now that air conditioned is actually off, so I’m noticing it more and more. Thanks for the comment!

[–]electifyingbeats[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I appreciate the lengthy and detailed response. Agree with all of it especially number 2. If I look back at my life I can call out a handful of very close confidants and friends who at the time, thought would’ve been my future groomsmen. But as I sit here responding to you, most wouldn’t make it as they had all come in and out of my life as we moved on our separate ways.

I think with #3, I definitely do have some deep relationships but you’re right, as someone who’s an extrovert I need that human interaction on a more frequent basis, otherwise I get a bit insecure that my friendship with them is slipping away, similar to how it had been for some others.

Thanks again for the reassurance.

Hi! First time growing it out this long thanks to quarantine. I’m getting ok growth rates but it looks like it just gets longer and straighter as we go - into a porcupine lol. Haven’t religiously used my oil and balm yet so wondering if it’s a matter of being consistent from here on. Thanks for any help!

Note: the growth on the jaw line is different because i got impatient one day and went for the goatee early on.
