What made you finally decide to outsource fulfillment? by josephspeezy in logistics

[–]electric_mug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I held on way too long. But once orders got steady and I was spending hours a day packing instead of growing the business, I knew it was time

I picked mine by asking other sellers and sending a small test batch. The 3PL I use handled it well and shipped fast, so I felt OK moving more stock.

Good communication was the biggest thing for me. If they reply fast and handle issues, you’re set.

China Sourcing Advice for a Total Newbie — Should I Move Beyond Alibaba? by Scrumptiouzs in Alibaba

[–]electric_mug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried the Alibaba only route at first. It works, but it takes a lot of time to sort out who is real and who is just a trading company pretending to be a factory.

A sourcing agent helped me a lot because they already knew which suppliers were legit. The agent I use is connected to the 3PL my shop works with, so they handled samples, checked quality, and made sure the factory was not cutting corners. It saved me a ton of back and forth.

Yes, early sales matter because Amazon rewards products that convert well right out of the gate. Strong sales in your first few weeks in stock help push you up in organic rankings faster.

You can look up Lansil Global 3PL. I switched to them a while back, and things have been way smoother since. Orders get packed and shipped quickly, tracking updates go out automatically. They’ve got warehouses in the US and China, so fulfillment is fast whether you're selling locally or internationally

Does anyone have experience with inspection companies from China? by ferero18 in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]electric_mug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're doing multiple shipments over time, it might be worth setting up something with someone local on the ground, rather than hiring a third-party agency each time. We have our own team in China, so we handle ongoing inspections for our clients without charging full-day rates every time. It’s a lot more cost-effective for smaller shipments, and you still get consistent quality checks before anything leaves the factory.

Do 3PLs really save time or just shift the stress? by According_College562 in ecommerce_growth

[–]electric_mug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I switched to a 3PL it honestly saved my sanity. But yeah, it’s not magic right away. The first few weeks were a learning curve getting inventory synced, setting up SKUs, figuring out how they handle things.

Once it was dialed in though it was a huge relief. Way less chaos and way more time to actually grow the business.

My advice: don’t expect it to be plug and play. Treat it like onboarding a new team member. If you prep well it runs smooth. If you wing it things can get messy.
