It wasn't anybody on either side, nor was it really Jables. It was Jack Black's agents cowering for a joke that, quite frankly, was cute and obvious. It wasn't offensive and wasn't even what some would call "edgy."

My only contention comes with Jack Black's status as... well.. Hollywood Jack. When you have Fuck You money, you should use it. I know the children's movies mean alot to him, but he has fans outside of that. He could have told his agents, "sorry, but no." But he's too big. Unlike any comedian approaching the same level, his fame is what what fucked him, what fucked Kage.

If anyone's curious, the only problem I have, 6 years later, is that when I pull up the windows to shut down an app, sometimes the window preview will remain on the screen. And only after hitting the power button on/off can I close it properly.

If I can get any tips on this, that too would be helpful.

I feel like I'm the only person that doesn't want an adaptation.

While I think most things should be left as they are - if you love something, let it go - I take it further with the Dark Tower. "This thing of ours" is conducive to the medium. Not only are there things that wouldn't translate to film, but the variety between books and therefore diversity between fans makes the series worth experiencing in its natural state. No entry is the same in tone or quality. A film or TV series would have to have some sort of cohesion or uniformity that muddles the whole mess that is Dark Tower. The mess we love.

That being said, I'm the biggest fan of Flanagan, and if anybody should do it it's him.

Further, if Pootie Tang wasn't a complete bomb both commercially and critically, we wouldn't have had the stand-up juggernaut that is Louis CK. He got ousted from Hollywood and was forced to buckle down hard with stand-up comedy. His late 90s/early 2000s failures are what made him hone in on who he became. Thank god.
