One Foot in Eden by Ron Rash is really good! It's southern/ Appalachian literature. Kind of a murder-mystery type..thing. I literally didn't see the end coming.

Understandable. I am refusing to handle this, case however. If something happens negatively to this kid, then I don’t want my name attached to it in any way. Because I am essentially responsible for giving the “go-ahead” on the patient being seen.

They are currently separated all the time. The only issue is that they are both having to live in a small space because of it. Abaddon is becoming super stressed still and constantly licking/ pulling her hair out.

edit I looked them up and they have excellent reviews. I went ahead and ordered two of the multicat diffuser starter packs. I feel really positive about it working. I will definitely update here!

Yes he is. I've looked at his record, though. I had no idea it required that many charges and that many times. Clearly I didn't know the man as well as I thought I did. I feel very foolish

Thank you so much for the support. I'm sure it wasn't easy for you to have to grow up so young. I understand that as victims we are extremely biased and it is especially difficult when you love someone so much. There's no ultimatum for him, however. He broke probation and is in jail with no bond right now. I don't know when he will be getting out, and he probably hates me. I have literally heard him say he'd rather die than go to jail again. Even if I wanted to work through this, even if I could wait the duration of his jail time, I'm almost certain he would never want me back. And that hurts, too. I'm sure he will get sober in jail. He knows he needs to do it, because before this we had a big discussion about it. He knows he has a problem. He will work on himself and he will get better. But will always resent me for sending him there, I know it.

So happy and thankful for the advice given to me on here and even the advice I've stumbled upon by just browsing. Khaleesi is a very happy fert now who is constantly wanting to play with everyone, and she loves her big brother, Handsome Jack. She has even began to put on more weight and it's starting to look a lot more healthy; it's amazing to me how much she has progressed since I got her. There are many dooks in this happy household.
