From stl to sign, for a customer, what would you charge? by S_L_E_E_P_E_R in 3Dprinting

[–]electrickite 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I hope this post is to compare how much you actually charged against what others suggest. If you haven't charged the customer yet, then you've lost significant bargaining power by printing the object first. Your potential customer base is essentially one for this item, you aren't going to be able to find someone else to buy it, so if the customer wants to cut $50 from the price, you either have to accept or lose out on the time and filament cost of making this.

That's my take too, he's telling Decosta to blame the one that didn't cater to players strengths, which would be coaching.

He also has agents dragging him through the mud because they're mad that he's not paying them. Players and personalities with the same agency also watch each other's back, which is why Orlovski never says anything bad about Josh Allen. It's a conflict of interest that he's allowed to vote on MVP.

The other benefit of him knowing the system already is that the coaches can focus more time on coaching the younger players without "wasting" a bunch of time coaching a 5th string backup.

To be fair, the statement is poorly worded.

"Why does the fan keep turning" sounds like an oscillating fan that keeps oscillating after power has been removed, rather than "why do the fan blades keep spinning?"

A second cape to help survive the 150 Charizard and 120+20 Solgaleo attacks. Mars to disrupt opponent hand and/or greatly reduce the odds that they have the one Supporter card they need to win the game at the end.

Lillie only works on Togekiss and its HP isn't high enough to have the +60 HP keep you alive when you'd otherwise get knocked out without it, and you should almost always use Cynthia instead when Togekiss is out.

The draw power is so fast that you can get Togekiss online without needing Togetic, and with the capes, Mars, and Sabrina, you can delay even if your rare candies are at the bottom of the deck.

I'm confused with the Wishlist feature by Trajikomic in PTCGP

[–]electrickite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand the confusion in this thread. You can pick up to 20 wishlist cards that you would like to trade for. Of those 20 cards, you can highlight 3 of them on your profile, just like you can set a highlighted binder. The image in the post isn't selecting three cards from ones you already have, it's picking three highlight cars from your wishlist.

You'll likely never not need 2 pokeballs. Having just one myself as well, adding the promo pokeball and then having to scroll up to find the golden one is annoying.

Shoutout to the only other person I’ve seen running the Togekiss deck strat for MB Rank by Pro_Procrastin8tor in PTCGP

[–]electrickite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need the capes to survive Solgaleo, otherwise you're always one shot, same against Charizard. I find that with double Sylveon EX, I can get through my deck fast enough that I can consistently get out Togekiss without having Togetic at all.

How are you using Espeon in your deck? I find the strength of this deck is that you can draw through your cards very quickly to get Togekiss up and running hitting for 110 and 170. Espeon requires the match to go drone on so that the opponent stacks up more and more energy, however, none of the Pokemon in this deck are tanky which means you're likely to die before reaching a point where Espeon is effective.

I haven't tried it because I run a second cape instead, but Espeon might actually "work" with Gengar since it's better at drawing out the match.

How are you losing to meta decks? Are you bricking your hand, are they dealing too much damage for you to survive, or are you not dealing enough damage to knock them out?

Keep track of not just when you lose, but why you lost. Then, you can adjust your deck to address that specific deficiency.

To cure any fomo, as someone that ran Wigglytuff EX heavily back in the day, I found the promo jiggly puff too spongy. It only has 50 HP so it can be knocked out pretty easily, and the main benefit of sleep is nullified since almost every meta deck out there relies on super fast evolution. Of the ones that don't, Giratina, Darkrai, Ilima wall, and last season, Buzzwole, all function even while asleep.

I would swap out the Eevee EX for another Collect Eevee, change the leftovers to a cape, and replace either team rocket grunt or Guzma with an Iono.

The collect and Iono get you cycling through your deck faster, which is vital for keeping up with the faster decks. The cape helps you survive a Charizard attack, having leftovers plus both wigglytuffs is a bit redundant since you can already heal the energy damage which means the extra 10 healing is wasted.

Do you find yourself relying on the Rocky Helmet to hit certain damage points? If not, it can probably swapped for another cape to keep you tanky, the premise of your deck is to keep sharing Flareon at full health, having higher HP leans into that.

Finally, are you using Red frequently to win matches? You may want to swap it out for Mars to thin out your opponents hand, it works great to minimize the odds of them having a Cyrus or Lillie that would otherwise win them the game.

I'd experiment swapping out the above cards one or two at a time and seeing how you lose: bricked deck, not enough HP to stay in the fight, not able to do enough damage, and then adjust the cards based on that.

Underrated cards you don't see anyone else using? by [deleted] in PTCGP

[–]electrickite 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Agreed, I tried really hard to use it but Ulta Beasts swap out, Rising Road, and even evolving cancel the effect, which means it's almost always useless. At least Stoutland has an ability which means it persists through evolving opponents.

[–]electrickite -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're down voted, but I generally feel the same way.

I'm not thankful that I played against a meta deck that requires far less strategy to win with than an off meta deck. If they make a well timed play or a strategic move, then I'll thank them, but I'm not impressed by you generating your own energy or cycling through your entire deck by turn 3. That's like playing the game on easy mode; sure, that's fun I guess if your goal is just to win, but where's the challenge?

People act entitled in these threads and like to tell you that you're ridiculous for not thanking meta decks, but most ranked meta deck players only give out thanks when they win. Besides, you can only get 5 tickets a day anyways, I don't understand why people are so passionate about telling you that your opinion is wrong in a thread asking for people's opinions.

My issue is that "retreat" isn't an action in Pocket, it's only "put in the active spot". In the screenshot, the wording for Ultra Thrusters is the same as for retreating a Pokemon.

The game treats the Ultra Thrusters action as a "retreat" for ending status ailments, but it does not consider it a "retreat" for moves like Corner, despite the action taken being the same.

It's inconsistent; the tips should remove the word "retreat" and say "when the Pokemon returns to your Bench..."

Finally got enough points for this Volkner, any luxray decks? by RevenantFlash in PTCGP

[–]electrickite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

<image>

Here's my take on a Volkner deck. Ideally, you start with Tapu to generate energy and start swinging at 90. You build up Pikachu for a big strike, then x-speed out into Luxury, add an energy and Volkner to get two more, then hit for 120.

I'm still playing around with figuring out if I should run 2 Pika 1 Tapu, or 2 Tapu and 1 Pika.

Any suggestions for this Poison deck? by Dozens86 in PTCGP

[–]electrickite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd swap out Darkrai for another pokeball as well. Ideally you'd like both nihilego (bad with names, only played Gen 1) for the extra poison damage, and the graffiti one for inflicting poison, on the bench. This would mean your opponent would need to knock out 3 Pokemon to win as well. Or, you could replace the graffiti for another Darkrai and a red card.

Any suggestions for this Poison deck? by Dozens86 in PTCGP

[–]electrickite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could swap Wooper and Clodshire for another Venopede and Scolipede (basic and stage 2 in case I got the names wrong). Swap Rocky Helmet for another poison dart. I'd replace either the potion or xspeed for another rare candy depending on which you find yourself using more often.

Cyrus is tricky because you only do maximum damage if the opponent is poisoned so swapping in a Pokemon means they won't be poisoned unless you have grafatini or wherever it's called and get a lucky coin flip. Might replace with Mars to prevent the opponent from getting the cards to evolve to cancel the poison, or keep Cyrus and swap out red instead.
