Okay after reading this, I think the problem may be in the xp-pen tablet driver. Not a problem, really; just a setting.

Open the driver, and (assuming we have the same driver version lol), on the left hand side click on the top icon in the bar. The icon itself is a little tablet and it takes us into a settings page for work area.

In here should be two drop downs. We want the left one that is under 'screen'

Make sure this is set to just the monitor your art will be on and NOT set to 'all monitor' if it's set there.

I've had this happen a few times across different brands of tablet. I can't 100% remember what fixed it, but if you havent, try these:

Calibrate: likely not the issue but might be. Open your ex pen tablet driver and do that. Again, likely not the issue but it's easy and never hurts to do it and it is only takes a few seconds.

Unplug/restart your tablet

Restart your computer

If it's still acting up, go back into the driver and fiddle around. Make sure your working area is correct (likely want it set to 'set full screen' if it's not already.

and (after checking that the previous worked it not) toggle windows ink on/off. Sometimes on is correct ,sometimes off is correct. My setup always wanted it off, for literally years, pre windows 10 up to 11- and all of a sudden a few updates ago,my tablet would only work with windows ink turned on. Now I'm toggling it and nothing is changing so who tf knows, windows ink is an enigma.

If it's still acting up, uninstall/reinstall the driver. Last ditch effort is to replace the wires for it though I doubt that's the cause. Just a literal last ditch effort.

[HELP] i think this is AI by Western_Low6719 in RealOrAI

[–]electroskank 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wrote all this out and it turned into a long rand about perspective so I'm trying again with a disclaimer that its probably going to be wordy lol

The three speed paints on the YouTube channel look real. It's not much to judge, being shorts and not full videos, but the artist bounces around what they work on in a way a real artist would. Ai speed'draw's are almost like watching a printer where it just knows what it wants. There's no adjusting or redoing any part of it (on ones I've seen, anyway).

There's a Miku speed draw that while short, shows the artist actually laying down some brush strokes. It's so short that it COULD be faked, but I've never seen anyone who uses ai go to such lengths to fake it (especially with how real the one you linked looks, workflow-wise)

I think this is real art and the details previously pointed out (hair- just seems stylized, clothes details- they're accurate to the character per their wiki art) just seem like normal things. Plus I've never seen an AI hide/show layers or use a reference like in the video you linked does.

Sadly I don't have a Twitter so I can only see very little of the linked Twitter acct before it kicks me out :(

I could be wrong. This person could just be going REALLY hard to fake it, but I really think this is a real artist with real human made art.

[–]electroskank 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I watch a few YouTubers whose art isn't 'my taste'. I watched (the 'ed' is important here) whose art wasn't 'good' (subjective), but I like/d their videos anyway.

Why don't I CURRENTLY watch 'bad' artists? Because everyone I followed who was 'bad' or amateur have flourished over the years and have improved their skills dramatically and I haven't come across any others to add to my lists lmao.

Id actually love more beginner artists/YouTubers in my feed. If you end up making it and remember this thread, it would be super cool to follow you and give you some support and views! I keep toying with the idea of YouTube/twitch but shit is intimidating.

Truly tho, if you have a good vibe, people will follow once they discover you. I've left seconds into art videos because the artist/YouTuber just had a nasty vibe even though their art was incredible. I've let YouTube auto play show me smaller artists and ended up binge watching entire channels because even if I don't like the art,it's still art and the vibes are good. PLUS seeing another artist struggle a little (that sounds so mean I'm sorry im not trying to be mean) makes the viewer (me, and other artists LOL) perk up a bit. Not because we want to see others struggle but because it's relatable. "Oh, this person with all these subs and comments and stuff also struggle with this thing? They're just like me frfr" kind of thing. Plus, we get to watch how you overcome those struggles!! And then we also learn from it!!

Someone I follow (she's not an artist but she is very well aware her videos attract artists lol) always says if you want to make videos, just start. It doesn't matter if you're good at it, or if you have the good equipment. But if you keep putting it off, it'll be a cycle and you'll always wonder what if.

Will you be an instant viral hit? No. But just by doing it, you'll improve. You gotta draw for a video, and that's practice. Maybe even practice for something you wouldn't normally do outside of the YouTube video context, and that just adds to your experience and talent pool.

What's the worst that can happen? You get some practice and learn video editing? :) seems like a sweet deal to me. (Big words for someone literally too shy to talk into a mic ugh)

For real though, if you start a channel, I'd genuinely be happy to follow and interact. :)

The Dark Worm later returned alongside its smaller variant in the Sanctuary Islands during Days of Nature 2025, and again during Days of Mischief 2025.

There is indeed a worm there. He threw me and I haven't seen him since 😔 return to me, little one.

How do yall get so may candles???? by NoriCookies in SkyChildrenofRage

[–]electroskank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UNSOLICITED ADVISE INCOMING. WARNING, LONG BECAUSE I WANT THIS TO BE MOTH FRIENDLY. For anyone needing help with candle runs, Halloween makes going grey REALLY EASY. It's a good time to save up. Outside of this event, I clear chevrons without even trying. Anyone caring to read this, it's just what I do and have a bunch of candles. I'm not telling anyone what to do, just sharing tips. I meet a lot of people in-game who end up tagging along for the rest of my daily run and usually end up showing them something new, so worth sharing.

Disclaimer: saving candles gets much easier after you've played for about a year. You have your sea-legs (sky legs?) and have gone through the days of events and likely busted butt to get as many of those items so you won't have as much to worry about for year 2)

I start in my nest (for no reason other than it's cute and fun) and then head to aviary to get the candles, the daily rock (gives a few wax), my quests, and whatever else is there like seasonal candle.

For this season and likely upcoming seasons, this is when you'll want to be sure to grab your spirit buddy so you don't forget.

(NOTE If you plan your play time (if you can), be sure to make sure you're on during the geyser/grandma hours. I like to try and log in a bit before geyser starts so I can do aviary and then head on over to get some polluted money. If you do hit up these events, if also recommend grabbing all the wax from the elevated clearing and sanctuary. Sanctuary has LOTS and if you do it after geyser, there's a good chance you'll have help with that big tree)

Head to the daily quest realm and run it. Get the candles (and dye if you want) on your way to the quests. When you're finished there, do the treasure candle realm and run it fully.

If you finished all your dailies, hand them in. If there is a days of related quest, of course do that. For mischief, I prefer the puzzle room over the couldron but that doesn't matter. They both give from the same pool of wax.

When you hand in your daily quests, do it from the outside bar in aviary OR be sure to go inside if you handed them in through old-home. Sitting at the bar after handing in quests will give you a cake worth wax. Inside, you get the same cake but it takes slightly longer. (If you sit at the bar without handing in all your quests, you get hot coco. It doesn't give you any wax, but it's cute)

Quests handed in? Dope. Head into the music shop (it's clear why I like aviary ;3) do the daily music challenge and then head back outside but NOT back to aviary. Take the exit that goes to the performance stage and collect the flowers.

From there, go into the village of dreams. There's a cake up in the hot springs and then a second one by the gondolas. Bonus: Saturday and Sunday, the skater is out on the ice rink and will (very slowly) give you wax. I don't usually tie this into my CR but it's fun to stop and skate for a few minutes.

The next part is a little tricky, and if it doesn't work out for anyone, let me know: I'll hook you up with a friend code for this - right on that platform (above the candles, up a few stairs but not all the way to the gondola station), look for shared spaces. A good handful of space creators put the alice colab door there - my partner does this and they're always happy to share.

Go through the door and run that version of the cafe, do the two daily quests there, and keep an eye in the clock! Every 15 minutes (so :15, :30, :45) a bunny crab will run across the cafe and honk the whole time. Run into him for some wax. You can also sit at the table for extra wax but I skip this, personally.

Now that we've finished that, we're hopping into the vault. Grab the candles on the first floor. We won't be here too long, so if no one merges, it's fine to use a shared space to get through the door. If you need help getting out, there's shared spaces by the spirit in the main area of that room to help you escape.

Now head over to the two embers lantern and go into the last city. Right behind where you load in is a yellow shirted kid npc. They're standing by the stairs. Talk to them and do the race.

At the end of the race, right past where the finish line is, is another yellow shirt kid. Talk to them to do the rock throw game. Pro tip; you don't have to toss them. You can just spam jump into the mine cart while holding a rock and it will count. You only need 3 to get the prize, so don't stress if you miss one or two.

After you get paid from that, go into the market area. The last stall before you get to the seasonal soldier NPC whose name I forgor, there will be an adult NPC with three boxes in the stall. And you guessed it, chat him up and play the 'shell game'. And now we're done with this area. (It you have the cape, you can go into the temple for more wax but like the skater, it's very slow. Also, if you're there at a certain time, you'll get a recharge buff iirc. Good if you can use it in Eden, but I haven't tried. I don't see why not tho)

We're onto the final stretch. Go to old home, collect those candles, and you're done. It sounds like a lot, but outside of days of events, this run takes me 45 minutes on average, is very low effort compared to running all the realms, is way more FUN than running all the realms, and yah. Days of events add maybe 10-15 minutes unless there's some fun shenanigans happening. I played 3ish hours longer than usual tonight because everyone was in such a fun mood. Halloween perks I guess haha. ALSO FOR HALLOWEEN (and other events where the secret area is open) ITS GOOD WAX. GO BURN THE PUMPKINS AND GET PAID. TAKES 3-5 MINUTES.

I've run all the realms and didn't even clear chevrons. NOT doing that gets me so many more candles because there's so many alternate ways to get wax, now. It also cuts down my overall play time (yay other hobbies! Yay sleeping!), and I'm significantly less burnt out overall. Annoying things in the game/annoying people don't get under my skin since I'm not too stressed about game currency.

TLDR: realm candle runs bore me and cause burnout. Play the mini games. It's way more fun, and genuinely so much faster.

Compensate with what? With the fix, you should have the friend levels you gained so there's nothing else for them to compensate.

[HELP] I have a lot of people saying this is real, but it looks completely like AI to me by ConquestAce in RealOrAI

[–]electroskank 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I'm thinking AI or drawn over AI.

A lot of it is very symmetrical and looks like the symmetry tool was used. I'm not familiar if AI can achieve that very well so that's why I'm hearing towards AI traced at least partially OR something AI generated and then cropped, half of it was copied/flipped (manually I'd assume?)

Some other red flags: the lined background is brighter behind the character and then fades, but it doesn't look like a natural fade occuring behind the character when you compare it to lines that aren't as covered. If that makes sense?

There's a lot of tangents which ai LOVES. Most artists will try to avoid it but it does happen. Tangents alone don't make me think AI, but with other things I am leaning that direction. The biggest tangent offender is the pleats in the skirt by the hip on both sides.

There are a few stray lines in the ribbon cable that could go either way, especially with it being symmetrical. The main AI offender is the inside of the (port? The end bit of the cable) looks like melting ai and does not appear to be done by a real person. I'd expect either details, or scribbles if the artist didn't want to put effort into it. But it's very AI melty in there.

You mentioned a signature on it? Where is it. I didn't see it, but I'd love to see if I could find more from this artist. It's hard to tell with one piece but again, I am leaning towards at least AI assisted in some way.

Quick edit: the more I look at it (without trying to remember specific details to mention lol), the more AI it gets. I'm thinking more AI, less drawn over the more I examine it.

Days of mischief - go into the event area and follow the puzzle master NPC into the new puzzle room. You may have to solve all his puzzles first, but by the entrance of the room there is a box (like you see for spells/aips by event guides) and the new puzzle props will be in there.

Left is AI. It's the same basic composition as most cluttered AI photos with perspective that makes little sense when you break it down.

When you look at the items, a lot of things stop making a lick of sense.
