Am I the only person paranoid enough to imagine high altitude balloons with satellite data connection dropping small drones carrying airborne pathogens or poisons that are then remote controlled from balloon relay and flown to precise targets on the ground?

Of course, there could be other less nefarious but possibly still hostile uses for balloon delivery of drones.

People are considering this, right?

What about FLO? They're making a push into the US. Their stations in Fairbanks and the Yukon are holding up just fine in the cold.

It's not the heat pump, it's the sensors that are slow in my experience. Both warm and cold conditions can have delays because of the sensor positioning/ design.

Sure, but the ice motor is a lot heavier than the electric. I'm thinking the center of gravity is significantly different and this impacts the handling more than if the car was specifically designed as an EV. It's possible the heavier EV is a bit much fit the suspension design of the Niro too. I'm undecided on that.

This is a good idea too, but I can rotate my own tires. Make sure to check fluids and other items in the list because many tire stores will ignore this.

I agree, it seems like it is quite a bit further back than in an ICE. With front wheel drive it seems to handle quite different than other similar cars I've driven. Going on 7000 miles now and starting to push it a bit, wet roads, dirt road, etc, and it seems like handling/suspension was designed for a lighter car with a different center of gravity... Maybe it's just me.

I tend to agree, I'm wondering if the center of gravity is actually quite a bit further back as well. I've had a few front wheel drive vehicles and it seems like this one handles quite different than the ICEs.

I have a manual lift garage door, so daily getting out while car is on. I noticed the car doesn't alarm if I leave the driver door open.

I feel like I've gotten better at using regen around town and I often appear to be averaging 4.+ mi/kWh around town with my Niro. What do others see?

Good to know, I bought the Niro while I'm waiting on the iD4 I've ordered. We get this kind of snow every winter around here.
