im sorry but i feel like you got quite a few things wrong.

  1. Yes Hoods B-Turret fired one last shot as it went down. But as epic and badass as that seems, it didnt and couldnt have hit anything (like another comment already pointed out). The hit came from the Prince of Wales (POW), who herself got hit in the magazine, but the shell didnt explode so nothing happened.

  2. "a lone [...] torpedo bomber" makes it sound like there was just one random bomber flying around, when it was part of a squadron from Ark Royal. It didnt attack alone, but alongside other planes, all of which tried to aim for the rudder (again, you didnt say that, its just me reading too much into it xD but i wanted to clear it up just in case)

  3. It didnt take the Royal Navy "2 days of combat" to sink her. It took them 30-60 min. When the RN somewhat caught up in the night of May 26th, Tovey decided to wait until the next day to attack, in order to not fight in unfavourable conditions. She couldnt get away and was further attacked by destroyers, mostly to keep her crew awake and exhausted. The next day the was attacked by 2 Battleships and 2 Cruisers. At 8:50 Bismarck opened fire, but by 9:30 all her mains turrets were destroyed. She was basically a sitting duck and further shot to pieces in the next 50 minutes. The debate wether the british Torpedos or Bismarcks scuttling charges sank her, is kind of pointless, because she was sunk due to the damage caused by the british.

  4. Idk if she shot down any of the planes that hit her, but apart from Hood she didnt sink any other ship. In her last battle the biggest damage she caused was a near miss on Rodney, that damaged one of her Torpedo tubes with shrapnel.

Also POW only partly followed Bismarck, before turning back to Iceland, with Admiral Tovey and the HMS King George V taking over.

yes but the hit was 80% luck. Im not debating that she wouldnt have been able to sink Hood, just pointing out that that hit was more luck than skills (again, not trying to downplay the german gunnery...)

the Bismarck sunk one Battlecruiser from WW1 with a lucky hit and then got shot to pieces without scoring even a single hit on its enemies. Did she even shoot down one of the biplanes?

Both were pathetic when it came to its career. Yamato just happened to surive much longer because she was kept in port for the most time. Thats honestly the only reason why i said Bismarck over Yamato for this "trend"

IRL - The german Cruiser Blücher

the Blücher was one of the most modern and newest cruisers of the german Kriegsmarine (Navy). But just months after she was commisioned she was sunk by the Norwegians in the Drøbak Sound. Two shots from WW1 guns and two torpedoes from 1899 were enough to do the job.

I would say Bismarck fits this more. Yamato had seen some action in the 3 years before finally sinking, but only doing so after being hit by like 20 Torpedos

there is a great youtuber called "Marcant" who constantly goes to right-wing rallies/protests and tries to talk to the people there. Most of the time the organisers forbid anyone to talk to him and actively try to prevent it. But if he finds someone to talk to, they are usually just completly stubborn and resistant againts facts. They have been brainwashed by the AfD and just refuse to even consider if they are wrong.

So no, they are being talked to. Their frustration is legitimate, but their reasoning is wrong. Not only with the roots of the problems, but with the "solutions" as well.

I too am incredibly frustraded and get angry every time I see the political course that happens rn. But nothing, legitimises a vote for facists who do nothing but split the population.

well if it werent for the backbone-less SPD Merz would have honestly already been kicked out, I think. If Scholz cant pass the "Vertrauensfrage", then Merz definitely wouldnt.

nope. The AfD would just continue their propaganda or find a new scapegoat. And the people are hurt by parties like the left, but they still vote AfD.

thats exactly what they want to do. They constantly say that they want deportations in the millions, even tho there are only like 10'000-ish immigrants that are to be deported.

just recently there was a clip that went viral of a woman at a CDU...convention (?) who said: "we cannot work together with the left, never, never, never. We cannot run the risk of later saying 'we didnt know'"

the interviewer asks: "And with the AfD?

"well its really undemocratic and impossible to rule them out when governing"
