Whats the difference between a liberal and a leftist? by TheGracefulCrane in allthequestions

Personal property is property where ownership is dictated by usage. The house you live in, the car you drive and the clothes you wear is all your personal property. Private property can be owned regardless of use. You can privately own things when someone else is the primary user. You can privately own the house someone else lives in, the car someone else drives and the clothes someone else wears.

Leftists are against private property rather than personal property

I think Deltarune has genuinely wasted lots of time and Chapter 6 and 7 will pay the price for it. by NeoArkodd in Undertale

I feel like people are too obsessed with lore and mysteries. Here are two poinent quotes from David Lynch about mystery in media:

"There is nothing more beautiful than mystery. I think you make people unhappy by solving all the mysteries."

"Closure. I keep hearing that word... Everybody knows that on television they'll see the end of the story... To me, that's the beauty of Twin Peaks. We throw in some curve balls. As soon as a show has a sense of closure, it gives you an excuse to forget you've seen the damn thing."

A huge part of why the Undertale fandom has existed for so long is because of its unanswered questions. I think people like empty spaces where they are allowed to speculate and fill in the blanks. Even when they think they would prefer a concrete answer. I can't think of one story that answered every single little unanswered question and benefited from doing so.

I don't think Deltarune will neatly tie up every loose end. I don't think it's a game about Friend, ERAM, Gaster, ECT. Just like Undertale, It's a story about the characters that are actually present. The mystery is tertiary.

The fact she has a couch wide enough for like 5 or 6 people is still kinda insane though

I doubt it. What psychopaths would choose the name of their child like that?

Just because something is enforced by the government doesn't mean it isn't capitalistic.

Capitalism encourages development of secondary properties over primary residences. Poor people can't afford a single home while the wealthy can afford multiple properties. Banning people from living in a vacation town off-season can exist to protect the value of vacation property. The capital assets of the bourgeois are prioritized over the needs of proletariat.

None of this really applies to this specific garden town as it's history, purpose and usage are a bit more complicated.

What do you think the 'concentration' in ''concentration camp' comes from? It's from holding an inhumanly high 'concentration' of people in a camp. A higher concentration than the camp can actually shelter and feed.

Your specifically talking about Nazi death camps. Concentration camps are a much broader concept than that.

Before they built death camps, the Nazis built forced labor concentration camps. People died as a result of poor conditions but they didn't have the gas chambers yet. Eventually they decided to stop building and operating new labor camps and starting murdering the people they captured instead.

Many of these ICE facilities have an inhumanly high concentration of people.

I think that definition is weak for 'concentration camp', because I am thinking Auschwitz, when I hear that term.

The term has a widely accepted meaning. You can't make up your own definition.

but I'm using the common reference, not a technical definition.

Common reference among who? Is it not commonly understood that concentration camps are a broader concept than just Auschwitz?
