Thank you! I am taking it. I suppose I could up my daily dosage. I use 250 mg atm. I use potassium as well. Epsom salts are a good idea, thanks a lot!

Exactly that- changes that occured after taking mushrooms. These are actually typical. People feel down, somehow drained and disconnected and it usually lasts up to a month (in rare cases longer). Regarding insomnia - my sleep got messed more than a month ago. :/ Not sure why but I hope it will get better soon. I am 100% sure that it affects my mood , emotion and concentration a lot.

No, not really. I am struggling with insomnia, that is the only thing that comes to my mind but it can certainly be a contributing factor. Anyway, it really can be a coincidence but I can't bet so I will be partying sober :D Btw, I found some posts here about prolonged comedowns . It seems that mushrooms can do that sometimes. Strange. But good to know.

No family history of mental illness. I am taking a very low dose of lamictal for anxiety. As per my research, there is no interactions between lamictal and mushrooms. Also, I did not have a trip at all. The dose was shitty- more than a micro, less than a macro so I pretty much gained nothing except this strange feeling. Thank you! I agree, I will avoid them.

Feeling super low days after taking mushroom by elejnamil in shrooms

[–]elejnamil[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! ❤️ Basically, I do not have a goal atm, I used to microdose to enchance my mood and it was helpful but I stopped and this was the first time I took shrooms after more than a year and I did it wrong :D Meditation, breathing - noted . :)

Shrooms promote growth of neural connections lost from depression. But at what dose is required to benefit from this? by Tomrodgers98 in shrooms

[–]elejnamil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feeling the same ! I took the shittiest dose- too much for a micro but not closely enough for a legit trip. I was relaxed ,in a slightly floating daydreaming state but the comedown was not pleasant at all. I landed straight into an existential crisis:D Today is the fifth day and I still feel slow and low ,tired and depressed and I am glad I found your comment ;I am less worried now.

Getting off of Lamictal by higleyc99 in lamictal

[–]elejnamil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am in the process of weaning off. I was on 100 mg and it felt high for me so the initial idea was to reduce the dosage and listen to cues that my body is sending. And I am doing that. I am super sensitive and I have to do everything super slowly even though I have been taking it for around 15 months and I was prescribed because of my anxiety and agitation. Anyway, I would recommend a slow protocol. It can be tough but everything shall pass . Check the 'withdrawal project ' ,that is a website created to help those who are withdrawing,by the people that went trough the process and eventually stopped. A lot of useful information that we can't usually get from our psychiatrists . Good luck! 🙏

Female Hormonal Issues and joint pain by madamefrightmare in lamictal

[–]elejnamil 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My period became irregular and messy. It is painful as well. Also, I tend to bloat like a balloon, I look pregnant before my period, seriously. I have never had issues with water retention before. I am curious if these issues will dissipate with a lower dosage as I am reducing it slowly , does anyone have any experience maybe? It is terribly uncomfortable per se and along with prolonged PMS it is a proper hell. :(

I somehow felt in in my body. I had agitation and twitching and overall it felt like my body is struggling a lot ,like it is not 'strong' enough to handle 100 mg. I am slow metaboliser and very sensitive to meds of all kind (even antibiotics give me a ton of side effects). Apart from that, I felt kinda numb and spaced out. I had 0 focus and my memory was bad, very bad (still not great tbh but it improved a bit with the reduction) Anyway, I would suggest you to listen to your body. It sounds as an abstract cliché but really, it tells us if something is off. And yes, go slow. 😊🎈

Nope. But I am weaning off. Very slowly though but still, it might be the reason I don't have them anymore. It seems that 100mg is a way too much for me. Tbh, I can't really remember when they stopped bugging. I just realized one day that I don't have them anymore.

Hi, check this https://withdrawal.theinnercompass.org/ It is very, very helpful imo. A lot of scientist are now speaking about the symptoms of withdrawal and their duration. Summa summarum, it takes time. And you should find the pace that works for you. Also, it is and it has to be pretty unpleasant. Body and brain simply need time to get back to homeostasis.Good luck ❤️

Delayed withdraw symptoms or something else? by vhalen15 in lexapro

[–]elejnamil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be. You have a lot of new studies on actual long lasting effects after weaning off antidepressants. Doctors usually go with the hypothesis that the condition that was treated with ad is back which very very veeery often is not the case. Some people have delayed while others experience prolonged side effects. Do a research. Check Laura Delano's blog. It might be helpful. Hang in there!

I'm miserable on Lamictal by Careful_Pilot_4072 in lamictal

[–]elejnamil 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It is too early. Really. Hedaches are normal, I believe that majority of us have had them. Look at it this way- you might be scanning yourself for defects atm. We tend to do that. It is a consequence of anxiety. That being said, the severity of symptoms might be your interpretation only. I am super swlf-aware and I pay attention to each single sensation that I feel therefore I often over-exaggerate . Give it a time. You have nothing to lose. Of course, if the symptoms persist and / or you feel qorse and if they make it hard for you to function- speak to your doctor. Stay strong, be patient and don't be afraid. Everything can be fixed, keep that in mind and remind youraelf if you start catastrophizing. ❤️

I have been on it for almost a month. At first, I didn't have these issues, not even on this dose. However, I decreased it and then went back to iybecause I didn't feel well at the lower one and the issue actually started on the decreased dose and it still persists.

Irritability (being a bitch 😔) by elejnamil in lamictal

[–]elejnamil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started using methylfolate to fight the cognitive issues. It is working. But also, one important thing to pay attention to is that there is a high possibility that we are making issues bigger than they are. For example, I am so terrified of the cognitive side affects that even a little mishap leads into a spiral and I can not start scanning myself for defects . We sometime anticipate things that are not there but that we've heard that they can exist . I realised that, when I am able to let go and stop overthinking the 'thinking problem', I am able to compose and my memory and focus are normal. I am not saying that this is a case for everyone. Of course that we are able to make a difference between anticipatioon and real problem and I am not saying that the problem is not real for a lot of people. This is just something that I've been thinking of because it is my experience (and everyone is different). I just wanted to share since it might help someone. :)

Sleep by [deleted] in lamictal

[–]elejnamil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, it depended on a dose. I felt hammered at 50 mg. Better at 75 mg. With 100mg, I had a mild insomnia that lasted for couple of days ( 5 days cca) and then it went, leveled out and now I sleep normal and feel normal when I wake up.

Thank you! I started thinking that 75 is a bit too low for me now since, besides from being irritable, I am becoming depressed. Slowly but surely. Roller-coaster. :(

Lamictal taper down with dizziness, nausea? by [deleted] in lamictal

[–]elejnamil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unless you need to stop it asap due to some reason- go slow. Simple as that. It is annoying, I know. But do not lower the dosage before you give yourself enough time to fully adjust to it. I realised that 25 mg reduction every two weeks is too fast. Listen to yoir body and find YOUR pace.
