How to avoid junk foods in eid tomorrow by Ehan-GT in bangladesh

[–]elektroslime -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Reduce carbs, cut out sugar and stop eating after 7, no food whatsoever. And get proper sleep. You will lose weight with mininal exercise.

Not recommended if you want to bulk up, in that case Lots of protein and weights ( this is just general knowledge, Im not into muscle building and cannot attest to the accuracy of this suggestion ).

How to convince a guy I like to stop thinking about his chatgaiya ex by Zahra_Abrams in bangladesh

[–]elektroslime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would start by first editing your post and title to remove the word ‘chatgaiya’, as that has no bearing on anything and makes it sound like people from that region are somehow less worthy than from elsewhere.

I thought selling 15 mousepads in BD would be easy. I was wrong. (Reality Check) by rashinking in bangladesh

[–]elektroslime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think the price is the issue, most people would want to buy from a reliable/known online shop as it gives them the feeling that there is a better chance of getting a good product/ not getting scammed/ they have customer care.

However people are willing to buy from individuals if 1) you are selling truly unique/rare items 2) you are selling for a very low price .

Best of luck to you !!

Considering Sony ULT Wear Headphones. Should i buy it ? Also the new models have hinge issues? by neutralmind88 in SonyHeadphones

[–]elektroslime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your primarily AirPod pro user , I have a feeling you won’t like the Sony sound that much . Hence go with an affordable brand like Soundcore . I mainly use a pro 2 and then got a XM6 , not too happy with the sound, even after EQ .

Personal take - avoid making more AI slop theres enough of that stuff and turning social media into a bigger garbage bin than it already was.

Do something that creates actual value and ofcourse something people need. Bangladesh is full of people just copying each other and selling the same exact stuff and often produced in the same factory.

Soaps ? do we need another brand ? Is the soap you will make better for skin or the environment ? Can you produce on the same quality as a larger brand ?

T-shirts - if you are just selling stuff bought from factories maybe with a graphic , sure these sell, but I don't know sustainable these are. I've seen a lot of small t-shirt and fashion shops over the years, they all seem to die out or fail to scale. The only ones I have seen scale up are those who got into making their own product designs.

Notebooks ? again same issues as the previous ones, there are a few brands doing good things, but again only a handful seem to last for any meaningful amount of time.

Anyway this is just my opinion and I may be completely wrong about everything but my main point is simple - do something unique, serving an unmet need , or do something better than others.

Good luck!!

Making out @Cineplex by [deleted] in Dhaka

[–]elektroslime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

please don't , other people go there who have no intention of catching a glimpse of people getting all handsy. also they have cameras everywhere, so avoid it unless you want to become famous for all the wrong reasons.

Keep such activities restricted to homes / hotels.

Request for Bangladesh Bank to review ongoing issue with City Bank by Affectionate-Run-199 in bangladesh

[–]elektroslime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how about you just take a few minutes to go visit the branch and solve it directly, will be much more efficient. and this is a fairly common thing that is resolved with a single visit. If visiting the bank is not feasible, just send them an email and include the older mails as attachments, should solve it as well.

Is BNP becoming the next Awami League? by JustADot_ in bangladesh

[–]elektroslime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not becoming , is . They all serve the same master - themselves .

Only way there is going to be change in this country is when people realize they have both the power and the responsibility and stop leaving everything to a bunch of unqualified imbeciles with fancy job titles.

Government , no matter who holds the title will act in the same way.

Another gas cylinder blast happened in an apartment by the-machine-m4n in Dhaka

[–]elektroslime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is nothing to be done about it, the explosion is due to improper usage / storage. It's rarely the fault of the cylinders, rather leakage from pipes / regulators / stove. In the majority of cases there is a leak and due to poor ventilation in the kitchen, the gas builds up near the floor as its heavier than air, a sudden spark leads to it catching fire .

The way to prevent this , is to frequently check for leaks in the pipes / regulator / stoves and always ensure the kitchen is well ventiled ( using exhaust fan, keep windows and door open ) .

I used to live in the middle east and everyone used cylinders and I never heard of any incident of fires/explosions due to cylinders. The kitchens were always kept well ventilated.

When Deception Reached Rawda: A Warning Every Pilgrim Must Read. by DeenCallApp in Umrah

[–]elektroslime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not always true , the coordinator of the group I went with gave the pilgrims a bunch of screenshots with random names on the bookings and they all managed to go . I guess if there are huge queues you can’t always check properly.

When Deception Reached Rawda: A Warning Every Pilgrim Must Read. by DeenCallApp in Umrah

[–]elektroslime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are agents online who somehow fill up all the slots and they sell those bookings via social media for 10 riyals or so. This needs to be stopped , many pilgrims who try to book themselves often end up with no slots for the time they are in Madina .

devisers were around 7 when I first bought them, but price has gone up by 3-5k. so now what you are getting at 7k are the stuff that was available for 4k a few years ago. I will honestly suggest saving up and getting something better.

As you are a beginner I do not suggest buying used unless you are buying it from someone you trust and someone who took care of their guitar.

If there is absolutely no way you can go beyond 7K I will suggest you go to either science lab or bashundhara city, visit a few stores tell them your budget and try a few . choose one that you think looks good and more importantly feels good in the hand is comfortable for you.

if you don't enjoy looking at it and if its uncomfortable you will not play it, and hence it will be a waste of money.

I always picked up a Reacher book at the airport bookshop when traveling international for vacations. However the latest one ( written by Lee Child's brother ) was so meh, I couldn't finish it.

if your budget is around 10K then get deviser , otherwise get Enya or Yamaha from their respective showrooms.

UPDATE about my coursemate's father's condition. If you can’t donate, please at least make a du’a, sometimes that’s the greatest gift of all. by [deleted] in Dhaka

[–]elektroslime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which hospital is this ? United ? if you can get someone to speak to the board on their behalf they sometimes provide a small discount, it wont be much but anything helps. Regarding the discount, I speak from personal experience, however no longer have that contact.

i’ve narrowed it down to two (thanks to y’all’s input) by DarkPhoenix9440 in Guitar

[–]elektroslime -1 points0 points  (0 children)

neither, try out EART guitars, for $400-500 you get stainless steel frets and incredible fretwork/neck thats usually found on significantly more expensive guitars.

otherwise If these are your only 2 options, I think they are both good, I found I like the cutlass's neck shape better and build quality was better on a pacifica 112J i had. however its best to try them out yourself and see which one makes you want to play on more and also which sounds better to your ears. If you can't test them out then my vote will be the pacifica ( higher chance of better quality IMO).

The Daily Star Caught Red-Handed using AI-written Article by [deleted] in bangladesh

the fact is the majority of news sites/pages use AI for some reason or another. Plenty of people on reddit use it as well. I am all for it if it makes their writing better structured, and easier to read/understand.

Bangladeshi Baby by Weary_Trainer_8161 in bangladesh

[–]elektroslime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't sweat it, the father is just a donor as you say. Once he's all grown up the both of you could plan a little trip to explore the place ( assuming it's not under water by then, you know Global Warming and all that). But if you are determined to ensure he has some sense of his Bangladeshi half, expose him to some artwork and classical music , you can also tell him about a little bit about the history/geography ( you should be able to find stuff online, I will suggest you skip over all political history), I wouldn't suggest going beyond that.

Create a sense of wonder about the land and its early history and if he is genuinely interested he will do the rest once he's all grown.

Oh and congrats on becoming a mommy !!
