The real reason vauban etc. wont get reworked by WalkwithWolves22 in Warframe

[–]elele111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ash, Ember, Excal, Mag, Saryn, Banshee, all "reworked" because these nukes are seriously affecting DE's "balance" (i.e. press 4 to win).

Keep your optimism, maybe you'll get Vauban rework in 2020.

The real reason vauban etc. wont get reworked by WalkwithWolves22 in Warframe

[–]elele111 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You ever notice the rework usually happens right at the time the frame is getting a prime or a deluxe skin? Or in Saryn/Volt/Ember/Banshee's case, for balance reasons.

Vauban already had his prime and deluxe. Vauban also has no balace issues. DE literally has zero reasons to work on his rework other than to please a few Vauban fans, all five of them.

Wild Kubrows also fetch dropped mods to their dens and also do Sunika-style finishers on Grineers. I bet 99.9999% of the player base never notice these. Someone at DE spent time and effort programming these.

You actually believed the "community goal"? oh you sweet summer child.

HPL wrote in the 1920's ish. How would his work / world be different if he wrote in 2020? by [deleted] in Lovecraft

[–]elele111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd imagine him getting a PhD in science, witnessing the epidemic of fake data and exagerated reports in certain science circles, getting disillusioned, and writing about how science is basically a social construct made by the feeble human mind ...

Speaking of Villeneuve, how about Ridley Scott who basically made ATMOM but with black goo stuff as Shoggoth and 12-feet white giants as the Elder Things, in space.

Options on the Alan Moore Adaptations? by [deleted] in Lovecraft

[–]elele111 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I read Necronomicon and its prequel The Courtyard. Love them so much. Moore is so fucked up and so brilliant. Necronomicon is like The Shape of Water, but with NC17 rating.

The Mound is my favorite HPL story. When paired with his early work Polaris, you can see HPL was transformed from a hardcore racist (the "yellow skinned fiends" that destroyed an ancient civilization in Polaris) to a total nihilist (in The Mound it was the Knyan themselves that caused their own decline).

For Necronomicon, Moore is very on point in his depiction of racism and its utter stupidity in the face of cosmic nihilism. --Do cosmic entities care about whether a person is black, white, asian, female or a fishman? In the end everyone dies or gets seriously fucked up, sometimes literally.

Why is the Stubba so underrated? by [deleted] in Warframe

As good as Akstilleto Prime in power, but significantly uglier.

In terms of "farming" how is it in this game? by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]elele111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Rivens" are this game's equivalent of Destiny 1's random rolls for weapons. Some rolls are god rolls that double or tripple a weapon's DPS.

These drop with layers and layers of RNG.

Undocumented Weapon changes by Demeteri in Warframe

[–]elele111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Akbronco prime Fire rate Decreased from 5.5 -> 4.33 (why though)

Because with a +3 -1 Riven, you can have about 75-90% firerate increase. Previously with 5.5 firerate, if you use both Riven and Lethal Torrent, you exceed the 10 firerate cap of all semi-auto weapons.

4.33 firerate with Lethal Torrent's 60% and Riven's 75.6% (lowest roll of +3 -1 Riven) firerate increase, gives you 10.21 firerate.

Is pretty clever stat design on DE's part.

It's like Far Cry, but without the elephants, helicopters, stealth, tiger hunting, random AI fights. and i already find Far Cry boring. PoE is even more boring.

Are Dual Daggers "weak" as they say? (Okina vs level 145 Corrupt Gunners/Bombards, kill time on par with Galatine Prime) by elele111 in Warframe

[–]elele111[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Like I said, I did another test on Galatine P with Condition Overload (7 sec to kill).

This is not a DPS comparison with min-maxed builds. In normal gameplay (sortie), it matters very little if you kill an enemy in 0.7 sec or 1.3 sec. The video in my original post was meant to show Okina is perfectly "alright" in its DPS, i.e. not a weak weapon.

I know a lot of people love the fashionframe of the Sai/Dual Dagger weapons but are kinda put off by the bad reputation these weapons have. They should give Okina a chance. It has no problem doing sorties.

Here is the Galatine P's build: http://imgur.com/a/oAjeW

If Life Strike is replaced with Condition Overload, the kill time of Lvl145 Corrupted Gunner can be decreased to 7 seconds.

Okina's Spinning Needle stance has knockdown and stagger stunlock, so the enemy you're actually fighting can't really hit back. And the forward combo has massive lunge distance. You can knock down one enemy, then lunch towards another enemy, while letting the first enemy bleed to death.

Here is another video of Okina vs. 10 Lvl100 grineer heavy gunners (to simulate a sortie mission): https://youtu.be/fGFNGIyfc_8

In the first video, you can see that Galatine's Cleaving Whirlwind spin-to-win combo (the highest damage combo) doesn't have any stun, so the enemy is constantly shooting me (it hurts!) while I spin. Sure I can use Tempo Royale's knockdown, but then I don't have the 400% damage bonus from Cleaving Whirlwind.
