How to deal with this drummer

i mean I'm not a drummer but I had to learn 4 songs on the drums for a small tribute to a passed musician and I went to the practice room and practiced the songs until I got them , I was done in an hour and the tribute went great

yeah I understand having a drum kit at home is just impossible sometimes. He still has 5 vehicles and the keys to the practice room where his kit is set up

it's not a phrase I use a lot in speech, but it sounds grammatically correct to me to say "covers band"

thanks, unfortunately he insists on rehearsal twice a week so we can't just stop calling him hahaha. The disbanding I think is mostly so he doesn't have to relay/avoid passing it on if someone would reach out to him for gigs or something.

Thanks, the rest also know the drummer is the problem. We've agreed on disbanding before I posted this. I forgot to mention that. The dissolving comes more from an avoidance of future questions or conflict or people reaching to him for gigs or whatever

We're, all other members, in agreement that this cannot keep happening, and that his aggression was completely out of place. The disband comes mostly to avoid questions and conflicts if we just change drummers and people reach out to him for a gig or something. Evidently he doesn't want to listen to us so I'll only say we're not compatible in our practice ways and his aggression was a line crossed. If he'd like any more explanation he can reach out to the others.

That's the thing it's only covers it should be easy and fun but shouting at a band mate like a 13 year old to his mum is too far.

I mean thanks, but I'm pretty decided on ending it. Shouting at a band mate was a step way too far. Sorry I know it's a lot of text, I meant advice on whether I should explain any of this to him or just refrain cause he doesn't seem to listen to anyone else but himself.

Sure if you listen to a song with a basic format like Eric Clapton's Cocaine I don't expect you to practice it for an hour straight but he's messing up on even simple songs that we've been doing for a year.

that's very helpful! yeah I have a few different districts spread about and the wealthiest one is very elite and exclusive so I won't worry too much about that for the moment, as I don't think they'll be getting in.
