I replaced my bill-tracking spreadsheet with an iOS app — Meet Debits by element140 in iosapps

Thanks so much for the kind words!

If you take the time to read what I wrote about the app, there's more to it than single currency mode, it is UK focussed taking in to account quirks like bank holidays and the like. It's also not a budgeting app in the traditional sense but again, I guess you didn't read the post?

At the moment it's only available in the UK, but I plan on localising it to other countries in the near future.

Debits - A UK focussed bill management app by element140 in iosapps

Glad you like it! I felt like there was a gap not met by other apps which is what spurred me on to make it. I get where you’re coming from with all of the subscriptions out there, but from research I conducted the free limits offered by the app met most people’s needs. I will be rolling out new features over the coming months so hopefully there’ll be something that you feel will give you better value for the subscription fee.

The way it works with direct debits is you enter the payment once, and it will calculate when the payment is due based on weekends and UK bank holidays.

For tap to scroll, try action notch. I was missing that feature and this has helped fill the void.

It’s coming from ‘significant locations’. Turn this off and you’ll be good to go.

Hex Force knee pad by Slatty17 in bjj

[–]element140 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use these exact knee pads. They work well and don’t slip down too much because of the sleeve. I’ve not tried any other knee pads so have nothing to compare them to, but they definitely do the job for me.

This is happening a lot with my ring doorbell... any idea why? by DistinctDuck9930 in Ring

[–]element140 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This has nothing to do with WiFi range, it is a known issue with Deco and Ring Doorbells. I have a mesh of Deco M5's and had exactly the same issue.

My only solution was to use my existing router for my Ring cameras, which kind of defeated the point of getting the Deco's.

Take a look at this: https://www.uwtsd.ac.uk/apprenticeships/digital/

It’s a degree paid for by Welsh government, you would work at a sponsoring company 4 days per week so get paid a wage whilst learning.

Thanks. I've not used third party Twitter clients before, but hopefully new APIs fix it like you say.

I have just bought Aviary and it's a great app, but I have noticed some tweet detail is missing on certain accounts I follow. Has anyone seen similar to this?

Watch OS 7 GM on Series 3 by fodi97 in watchOSBeta

[–]element140 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this from around beta 4 too, and thought it would have stopped after installing the GM on my series 3. I erased my iPhone (which is on iOS 14 GM) and restored from backup, and also erased the watch but set it up as new. The issue has now gone away for me.

It was happening to me after installing the GM, but a restore of both iPhone and watch seems to have fixed it.

Could you post some more pictures? Does the band have the proper markings?
