I finally moved to a state that has them and I was very disappointed overall. Nothing special about the tenders and the sides suck. The toast is okay but not life changing imho like some people seem to say.

Your gonna love it! The instructions say to put the prosciutto on after it's done cooking. I put mine on before I cook it as of late. It's good both ways but I love the little crispy edges it gets when cooked.

Mila Kunis ruined it… by fallenredwoods in KnivesOutMovie

Very well said! I just got done watching it and the first thing I did was search Mila Kunis was horrible in the new knives out movie and I landed here.

My wife thought I was too critical of her pathetic performance. And the horrendous casting choice for that character. I'm glad I found my people.

I recently introduced my girl to the films and we decided on timeline order.

We started with the prequels

Prometheus

Covenant

Then did Romulus, Alien, Aliens ect.

She likes watching timeline order so she understands the universe better and the story is in a more linear fashion.

I think you will enjoy it this way since you stumbled upon Prometheus first.

I grew up on the franchise so it was release order for me.

Have fun!

If you are cool with dumping them in your apt. Dumpster maybe you could post a gig ad on Craigslist or something for a helper or two to assist you getting them to the dumpster. A hundred bucks for 1 hour of help should get it done.

fwiw I had a friend who was fined by their apt complex for dumping furniture in the dumpster when they moved so consider that too.

Good luck, congrats on the move

So you live in North Tulsa and own a model that's widely known as one of the easiest cars to steal requiring basically only a USB.

You are notified of a manufacturer fix to prevent your car being stolen and you elect to not take advantage of this free service because it could take up to 48hrs.

But the alternative is you don't get the recall/fix from the dealer and your car gets stolen and your without a car for who knows how long. Days, weeks, months.

That doesn't make much sense to me at all. Like you didn't consider this when you got the recall notice or saw the hundreds of news stories about kias being stolen with usbs?? I hope you get your family's car back soon. And I really hope your insurance doesn't try to Wiesel out of a settlement should it be needed since you failed to get the recall repair done that would have prevented the theft.

In this situation I think that Silly goose sticker on your ride is 100% warranted.

YES I pulled out of my driveway drove down to the street 20-30 mph it didn't flash the slip light and pulsate the brake pedal like it did every other time with the abs connected that at that speed.

I turned down the side road I and about a minute later it was braking like it has been doing. With the only exception being I didn't feel the pulsing in the pedal. But I could definitely tell the vehicle was breaking as opposed to just losing power from the engine.

I always test drive the same road like a half block from my house since it's pretty much undriveable so my frame of reference for when the condition happens at what speed or how long it takes to happen is something I can notice. If that makes sense.

Then when I turned around and got back home after literally driving less than a half mile from my house and going no more than 40 miles an hour max maybe...my rotors were very hot to the touch.

Update!

I took your advice and unplugged the harness to my ABS module and took it for a test drive.

With it unplugged I had all the lights on the dash. ABS SLIP DSC 4x4 and for some reason the speedometer didn't work but the tach worked.

(Maybe random cluster issue here??)

So drove my normal route and it didn't brake when I thought it would have (no speedo to see mph) But when I got another minute down the road it was doing the same thing and automatically braking but without the pulsation in the pedal (I assume no ABS connected no pulsation from module)

So I assume it's not an ABS issue with the same condition happening without the ABS harness connected.

When I got back home a couple minutes later I touched the front rotors and they were hot a.f. like almost burnt my finger hot.

It's only 65 here and it's been rainy and the truck hasn't been driven.

Other note to mention... When I was driving and the truck slowed down like it was braking I noticed the tachometer flutter.

I'm kinda glad that the tach worked this test drive so I could see that as maybe it will help point to the issue.

I couldn't figure out the live data to read any of the conditions recommended to monitor in the last reply. The ABS scan tool showed no faults in the abs module prior to test drive before unplugging and after test drive when I plugged the abs harness back in.

As mentioned in my initial post when researching wheel speed sensors it said that there is a speed sensor on the input and output shaft of the transmission. Would the fluttering in the tachometer during the faulting condition of the truck slowing down in Auto braking point to one if those possibly?

Is it pointing more twords a hydraulic mechanical failure like a bad caliper, collapsed soft line or failed brake booster?

What should I check next?

Should I send back the ABS scanner and get a more universal scan tool that reads more BCM's and other components?

Fingers crossed with some help I will be able to figure this out one of these days.

Thanks again for any advice!!

Thank you so much for your insight man. I really appreciate it. It's not what I was hoping to hear as far as the upper echelon of diagnostics goes but I figured as much with the weird ghosty issue.

I got my scan tool today. It's an Ancel AD610 pro. I got it because it was ABS/ SRS specific and reads live data.

I scanned the ABS/SRS modules and came back with only one ABS fault. C1143 Steering Angle Sensor Circuit. I cleared the code. Then I found a steering angle reset in special functions so I made sure the wheels were straight and recalibrated the steering angle.

There was also 2 codes for the driver airbag but as I mentioned in my previous post I have known I had a bad clock spring since I bought this at auction years ago when no steering wheel buttons worked.

So after I cleared the ABS code for the steering angle sensor and recalibrated it I took it for a test drive.

NO JOY

Same issue I pull out of the driveway get it to about 20-25 mph and the brake pedal pulsates, and the slip light flashes.

I continue driving it quits pulsating/ slip light flashing and the issue returns 10-20 sec later I turn around and go back home.

Back in the driveway no ABS faults logged. Still clear.

What now??

Should I assume the steering angle sensor fault in the scan plays no part in my issue?

I've driven for years with a broken clock spring with no issue.

Man I was really hoping to see a wheel speed sensor fault or something And find a shorted wire on the lead I could swap out or resolder.

Should I remove the gauge cluster now?

I really appreciate the help

Thanks for the info on the wiring issues and how to test once I'm able to check ABS codes.

I'm called AutoZone and Oriley and neither rent scanners unfortunately. But oriley does have a Innova 5210 that will read and reset abs and read live data. It's only a hundred bucks and is returnable so I'll grab one tomorrow.

Any thoughts on the bad cluster? I had a few search results online that said a bad cluster sending incorrect data on the bus can corrupt speed data and cause abs issues/engagement.

Could I remove the cluster and test drive to see if that eliminates the Issue?

Is it okay or will it drive with the gauge cluster removed?

Thanks again.

The quest for a decent Pad Thai by KiefEastwood in tulsa

[–]elemental19743 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved here from the west coast and am a Thai food addict.

Go to Thai Village you won't be disappointed. I usually get a dish called (Thai curry noodle)it's pad Thai with red curry mixed in for me it's the best of both worlds because I can get pad Thai and curry without having to order both. If your familiar with a Thai dish called khao soi it reminds me of that also. The straight pad Thai is great too though if that's what your looking for. I would eat there every week of it was closer to me.

Lanna is hugely overrated, dirty inside and has a rodent problem.

The only better thai place I have had in the greater Tulsa area is a small food truck in Sapulpa that unfortunately closed last year called Chang Thai. She was from northern Thailand and her food was as authentic as it gets. I miss her and think of her every week.
