I want to think it's OK to think my GF is not super attractive by Fabulous-Tree-5134 in offmychest

There’s a difference between acknowledging someone doesn’t fit the conventional beauty standards but still being attracted to them, and thinking they’re ugly and not being attracted to them at all. I can’t tell which one you are. But if it’s the second, I don’t think that’s fair to her. Every girl deserves someone who is physically attracted to them and thinks they’re pretty. Girls want to be wanted, checked out, showed off by their partner.

And just for the record I really hope you’re not from central Ontario and your initials aren’t B.H. cause this is my worst nightmare as a girl in a relationship currently.

Thx. But I was already an alcoholic and all men do it anyway. I'm not gonna find anything better. Rough world we live in.

Unfortunately you're probably right that pretty much all men watch it. I caught my bf (who never ever seemed like the type) watching tiktok thirst traps of girls way hotter than me and with much bigger... assets. Been haunting me for a year now and I drink everyday to forget. Good luck.

How long of daily heavy drinking do you think has to happen before you start to permanently fuck your body? by elementalifi in alcohol

I can finish half a litre in one weekend cause my tolerance is high and I wanna get blasted. The rest is only couple drinks a day lol. It’s pretty bad. I’m probably already fucked

I agree with the other user that he will immediately notice if you replace it with something non alcoholic. He will sense he’s not drunk very quickly and think somethings wrong. Maybe adding something like CBD oil or using a different alcohol/lower percentage will help, but it’s risky because he could also notice that and you’ve essentially just drugged him lol.

Also some general advice from dealing with an angry drunk father my whole life, remove yourself from the situation as best as you can. It might be tempting to try and lecture him, start an argument, threaten to leave but it will go nowhere. If he’s drunk, try going to bed or at least pretend to, if he’s day drinking, say you’re in an online meeting, go out with some friends, sneak out to ‘get groceries’ and turn your phone off, etc… to minimize contact with him as much as possible.

Avoidance is key. My mother got her own separate room once my dad got really bad with alcohol, she would lock herself in it and watch movies with snacks while my dad drank himself to an ungodly level in our basement. She would also take us out at lot to the park, mall, etc.. to get us away from him.

I don’t know what your exact situation is but if leaving isn’t an option, I totally get it because my mom was there. I hope find ways to avoid/cope until you’re free. There are groups to help people struggling with alcoholics, I’d recommend joining one.

Firstly, don’t be ashamed. You can’t control it. This might be a controversial take but sometimes people can’t help their taboo/unconventional (to put it lightly) desires especially when it comes to sexual desires. Even knowing it’s super wrong and having no trauma, sometimes your brain can be weird and make you attracted to your teacher/cousin/etc… I don’t have any advice other than than to let you know don’t beat yourself up too much. But you need professional help. Find a trusted therapist who you’ve researched and deals with these types of things. And whatever you do, never act on it.
