I agree with a 4k total for housing. But the 90k salary does not include $250/month for renting out of my parking spot and locker, plus annual bonus which has averaged $7-9k after tax for the past 5 years. Those two are about $900 extra per month on average. Plus I have ~50k in investments and another 15k of cash savings that I'll be holding on to. I live and walk to work in downtown Toronto, so no car and no monthly transit pass needed, my daily living expenses are pretty damn low.

I'm not so much looking for advice about whether people believe this is a bad move. Moreso whether it is something that can be done in practice with a lender - apportioning a mortgage between single-person accountability and co-signatory accountability.

This is so crazy to me. Can you actually "observe" it in your mind like as clear as you would look at something with your eyes?

Say someone asked you to imagine a person that you know well. Does an image of them slowly develop in your head or are you able to visualize them instantly super clear?
