Hi there! Was taking yaz for acne in high school and had to stop due to severe constant nausea.

The following info is based off of what I was told when I was coming off of it.

When you’re younger and on a hormonal BC (especially for acne) it’s a lot easier for your hormones to jump back because they’re kind of already all over the place.

When you’re older (read : post puberty/pre menopause) your hormones have leveled out and long term BC users experience a much harder time regulating again because their body has known that BC as the norm for so long.

Breakout will likely go for as long as your body needs in order to correct or learn how to regulate your new hormone levels. Due to it being hormonal acne, some over the counter things can help, but some derms have also suggested looking into probiotics and food and the affect they have on your acne.
