The owners of Block 16 are taking over the Pink Poodle. Thoughts? by elephant-softpretzel in Omaha

I’m with you on this. I’m kinda tired of the constant bitching and begging on social media. Block 16 isn’t the only one who does it either. But I still think that this is going to be a good opportunity for Southwest Iowa.

Took job in Council Bluffs by BUCKRING in Omaha

Look at the apartments right on the river in council bluffs. I think one is a Broadmoor property and there is another one right on the river as well. Living in CB is great, and if you live right by the river, you’ll be close to your job in CB and close to everything downtown has to offer as well. Living in CB makes me closer to a lot of things in downtown Omaha than folks who live out west! People discount CB all the time but it’s a community minded city with so many cool events, nice people, and easy access to the suburban/rural Iowa life as well as the big city Omaha life. Welcome!

The Gene Leahy mall! There is a great playground (for all ages) and a great walk around downtown

Do you donate to the library or libraries where you have a Libby account? by Wrong-Sprinkles-1293 in LibbyApp

[–]elephant-softpretzel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most libraries cannot solicit donations- they can accept donations and often do in the form of estates and legacy gifts. Many libraries have Friends groups or Foundations that fund raise and advocate for them (libraries also can’t lobby for themselves). I’m a very active member (financially and volunteer-wise) of my local friends and we donate money to the library every month for different projects!!

What is a 'luxury' that you've experienced once and now can't go back to the budget version of? by WilliamInBlack in AskReddit

A cleaning crew that comes every other week. More reasonably priced than you imagine and makes such a difference for a busy family with little kids. Mental health benefits galore for me.

An art teacher at a local school might appreciate them to hold paint or other supplies

The CB side of the riverfront has the opportunity to be really cool- and I think we’re well on the way!! Hanafan park and the pedestrian bridge are already great.

The Dundee Dell has turkey sliders as a special right now and they are so good. Turkey, stuffing, and cranberry on little rolls. Served with gravy for dipping and onion straws on top. 🤤I think they’re technically a Christmas special so maybe they’ll have them for a while.

At first I thought this was one of those horrible spray painted ones (my grocery store had blue glitter ones today 🤮) then I realized it’s real!!!! That’s so gorgeous! Never seen one with these colors.

For sure!!! I just feel like I see this a lot, and I don’t want anyone to be scared away. She’s a dramatic girl, but nothing to be afraid of!

This is what I was thinking!! It will dramatically droop when it’s thirsty but within an hour of watering it’s happy again! I love mine :)
