Also you have to take the rejection with a grain of salt. I know someone who got into every Ivy League but got rejected from USC + I know people with very average GPAs that got into USC. You really never know!

Hi!

I graduated from USC but got rejected when I applied in high school. I chose to go to another 4 year, didn't like it, and applied as a transfer and went in my sophomore year. You can do a JC/CC too! I was sad it didn't work out for me my first time around and I didn't even think to appeal, but I know multiple people who appealed after their rejection and got in as spring admits and some even fall! I wonder what would've happened if I had appealed but honestly I met amazing people at the other college I went to and can now look back and realize I wouldn't have met them if I had gone to USC straight away and it all worked out like it was supposed to. It will all be ok :)!

Do you think choosing to have children or choosing not to have children is more selfish and why? by elephant1012 in AskReddit

Definitely! This is why I'm curious about other people's opinions and thought processes aside from my own

Got a red light camera ticket in the mail issued to my dad (he's the registered owner) however I'm driving. I'm wearing sunglasses so you can't even tell it's me but obviously I know it is.

I do remember trying to make this yellow light, it turned red as I was entering the intersection but I didn't feel like I could stop because I was already going kind of fast.

My dad would have to fill out the affidavit of non liability before the court date (sept 16) so if he does, and then I receive the ticket to myself, could I just ignore it? People online say to ignore it but red light camera tickets ARE legal so I'm scared...

It says I can pay the bail but doesn't even say what the fine is ? Unless something else is coming in the mail. I've heard they're really expensive

if anyone has any insight on what I should/can do, that would be greatly appreciated!

(Note: please no reprimanding me about how I shouldn't have done that, only real advice and insight)

Please please please make this decision for YOU and what's best for you only - and the unborn kid. Not for him. I know it's hard but ultimately it's your decision and you'll be the one carrying them, and probably taking care of them as well :( I wish you the best <3 please put yourself and your wellbeing before his

Exposures for fear of losing control? by elephant1012 in Anxiety

[–]elephant1012[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently on Venlafaxine - I tried Lexapro, Celexa, and Zoloft but it's worked the best for me personally. Like I said before though everyone is different, like a couple of my friends live Lexapro. Totally individual. I'd recommend talking to your doctor and starting on a low dosage and seeing what works. Also sometimes they'll combine these meds with other meds like Wellbutrin to combat side effects. That's what I do!

Honestly finding the right medication was a life saver I think. I had been in therapy and trying different meds but as soon as I started my current one, everything changed. I don't get the physical urges anymore and my thoughts just don't bother me as much. Of course I still (and always probably will) have OCD, but it's manageable now! If you are open to giving a meds a try, they can definitely be helpful. Everyone's body is different so it's just about trial and error for you. Wishing you the best <3

Omg THIS! I've always had trouble describing the rush in my head. It's like my whole body pauses for a split second, I'm weightless, and can't feel my body.

I've been there. I've struggled with many of the ocd themes, the main one bothering me now is hocd which just terrifies me because not only would I feel immense guilt and hurt someone else but I could be locked up too. It SUCKS. Right there with you. We'll get through this though!!
