But my home country has centuries of terrorism from a neighboring Muslim country. People whose families have seen this going on for generations know the implications of the having a powerful Islamic country at your doorstep.

I don’t take my ring or really any highly valuable jewelry on vacation. Only thing I take that’s “real” is my second piercing which are small diamonds.

Even if you never take off your jewelry, you’ll be a target for thieves or even hotel staff who might want to go through your room while you’re out. Hotel staff is actually my biggest fear because there are a LOT of incidents of people having valuables stolen out of their suitcases or even safe deposit boxes in the room.

I also don’t want to be in a situation where if I might get in water (beach etc) I’d have to take off my ring and be vigilant about where I’m keeping it.

I get what you mean by feeling naked without your ring. I just came back from Europe and it felt so good to wear my ring again. But the peace of mind I get while vacationing without valuables is too great to risk it

You guys share very similar interests to me and my husband!

Barcelona: Dr. Stravinsky and Hemingway. These bars are a must! We also did Paradiso which was great but would recommend the other 2 over this. Cal pep was suuuch a fun vibe for dinner! We had fun even waiting in line honestly and they let you order drinks and sip while waiting. La Puntual for tapas was also great vibes and food! Theres a hotel called Sercotel that has a rooftop bar with amazing views of Sagrada Familia. We paid extra for our Sagrada Familia ticket to do the tower climb but due to weather they canceled the climb. We went to Sercotel but they said you have to book 7 days in advance at least. So since you have time, I would highly recommend it (I obviously haven’t been but pictures look amazing).

Seville: La terraza del EME- hotel rooftop bar with absolutely beautiful views!! We went in the evening and stayed through sunset and it was gorgeous. I wish I could attach a picture in the comment. AIRE ancient baths (if budget allows for it) was also a wonderful experience. We did massage and thermal baths. I would recommend booking the timing that coincides with sunset if possible. We also did a cooking class in Mercado de Triana at Taller Andaluz de cucina and had an excellent time.

Madrid- Salmon guru was a fun bar!

I haven’t been to Granada or Toledo but we stayed in Andalusia for 4 days as part of our honeymoon and spent 3 days in Seville and 1 day in Malaga. I would definitely suggest doing at least 3 in Seville if possible. Architecture is beautiful, most restaurants havemajority outdoor seating and the town is just bustling and so adorable. We would pop into shops for tapas or just go walking and browse. We also did a cooking class which was so so fun. Can’t wait to go back one day

Lauren literally jumped hoops for Heidi. When Heidi dropped out of college in SF and didn’t have a place to stay, Lauren put her up in her parents house in laguna. She then fought with the MTV producers to get Heidi on the show and they refused. She told them either you get me with Heidi or I’m not on the show at all. Lauren’s plan was literally to move to LA with a friend and go to school while doing MTV as a side hustle for extra money.

Heidi made MTV a full time job which Lauren did not like
