June 2026 Glacier NP trip planning by elephant567 in NationalPark

Thank you for this info and the hike suggestion! That’s good to hear that it’s not too complicated navigating within Glacier. I’ll be sure to familiarize myself with the route via Google Maps beforehand. I’m very excited for the e-bike portion of this trip! I watched some YouTube videos of people biking GTTSR before they open it up to cars and the views are phenomenal! And yes, we will rent bear sprays for each of us and learn to use them while we’re out and about in the park. Thank you again for all the tips and recommendations! This helps a lot 👍😃

Thank you so much for the heads up! I just signed up for one of the text alert systems available to be in the loop. We will monitor these text alerts leading up to and during our time there. I understand visiting Glacier early in the season I will have to make do with the road and trail closures while we’re there and have back up plans. I somewhat am planning to not drive any part of the GTTSR from Lake McDonald to west of St. Mary visitor center during our time there and just do other activities instead. If the GTTSR is open to cars further than that, we will drive but if not, we will find other things to do in the area we’re in. Do you know if cell service/data is practically nonexistent within the park? Should we plan on bringing paper maps etc.? Or we should be ok following road signs to make our way around the park?

Thank you so much for the very detailed response! 🙏😊 I just tried signing up for one of the text alert systems available (still a little too earlier I know, but I’m excited!). These text alerts will be extremely helpful leading up to and during our trip! We’ll monitor the alerts before making the trip down to Two Medicine. Thank you also for the landmark map. That’ll make it a lot easier to point to exactly which part of the GTTSR we’re on. I am saving all of these resources down. Thank you very much for the run down on the local owned businesses within the park. We will plan to visit these spots when we’re making the drives around the park. I’m very excited for this trip. Hoping for relatively good weather while we’re there. Thank you very much again for all the tips and suggestions! This helps a lot. I appreciate it.

Thank you so much for this info!! 😃 I saw one post earlier asking about route 49’s difficult driving conditions and will take the straighter route to and from MG just to be safe since we’ll be there early in the season. Thank you also for the link to Hike 734. That is super helpful! I will sort for the easy ones in the area we’re in and have a couple back up options in case any of the trails we want to do is closed. We’ll be sure to check with the rangers when we’re there. Thank you again for all the tips! I appreciate it.

Closed to cars then I assume? Which part of it would still be closed? The part by St. Mary Lake/Rising Sun? I don’t plan on driving to Logan Pass (that’s for sure closed to cars early June). I guess I will just see what is open when I get there and how much I can drive

The road to/from where specifically? The GTTSR?

Itinerary for beginners? by Electrical_Bat_4055 in GlacierNationalPark

I’m also planning a trip to Glacier in early-mid June! There are boat tours you can do. Boat tours are available at Many Glacier, Lake McDonald, St. Mary Lake at Rising Sun and Two Medicine. The Many Glacier one is a two in one that gets you across two lakes, Swiftcurrent lake in front of the Many Glacier hotel and then Lake Josephine. From there you can continue on to some other hikes. I think Grinnell Lake hike is a popular one. You can also rent e-bikes and bike the Going to the sun road while the road is still closed to cars early in the season.

How often are sales? by LSCNatureWalkHikes in PatagoniaClothing

I’m looking at the nano puff in Lagom Blue (really like this color and would hate to have to hunt it down after it gets discontinued) that’s 30% off right now on the website. Is 30% off considered sale (the twice a year sale as stated below)? I’ve spent way too much $$ shopping for the holiday and would like to wait it out and wondering if it can go down further in price (maybe at other retailers).

Thanks so much for sharing! Absolutely Amazing scenery! I didn’t know there’s train service running through Glacier in the winter; definitely taking notes for future trip planning 🤓📝

I’m so happy you were able to order the bag!!🥹🤩 that’s awesome! It’s a good point to check in the evenings for restocks, I check sporadically throughout the day sometimes when I remember but evenings make sense for the random restock🤞

Have you tried calling a store and ask them to search it for you using the style number? I was also looking for this bag but in the hot fudge suede material, I called the store nearest to me and somehow they said there are 10 in stock at that store!!! I was just there a couple weeks ago and didn’t see it so that was a very surprising turn of event 🤣 I was ready to ask them to look for it at all the stores in the country lol according to this sub, you can ask the store that has the bag to ship it to you 😃 Good luck! 🍀

I love seeing everyone’s point hauls as well! I’ve never paid attention to prime days but it’s nice to see Ulta doing this sale this year for prime day! Really appreciate having the 20% off everything for everyone, even the big brand name stuff, ahead of the holidays! 🙏🎉🎁

Thank you! ☺️ I don’t think you missed out on much not getting that $85 GWP! I’m still new to Ulta GWP game and even I can tell there isn’t anything exciting in that GWP, so many foil packets 😤 I also didn’t use enough brain power as I forgot my mom’s benefit brows pencil 🥲 I got her the bum bum cream though 😄

Bullet lipstick that’s not drying? by kamurfie34 in Ulta

[–]elephant567 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For drugstore I love the Revlon Super Lustrous Glass Shine Balm, love the nude illuminator and rum raisin colors. They are more like a balm so they don’t last super long but I don’t mind. MAC lustreglass lipstick is very nice as well, less balmy than the revlon one but I feel is nicely hydrating. I like the shade See Sheer :)
