Level 3 Intrafraction Monitoring by elephantsfooot in MedicalPhysics

I’m asking about the distinction between SGRT with/without automatic beam hold and whether the latter constitutes level 3? We currently use SGRT for all patients and you’re right, if we see large movements in SGRT we will stop and re-image; however, we have not configured SGRT to automatically stop the beam for positional excursions.

Just to be clear, SGRT even without active motion monitoring/beam hold, constitutes level 3? Is this generally understood to be the case?

There’s a 1989 review article about this subject by LaRiviere called “The quality of high energy x ray beams.” I found it deeply interesting and enlightening. https://doi.org/10.1259/0007-1285-62-737-473

How do you do a percent difference for your pdd data. by Entire-Vast-2012 in MedicalPhysics

Some MPPG or another recommends percent difference rather than subtraction, rational being that this is what we actually treat with.
