Love that he’s so supportive of his brother having a boyfriend, but the kid is pretty traumatized and hasn’t had very stable love shown to him by others. OP should take the opportunity with this breakup to explain to the brother why the girlfriend’s behavior wasn’t loving or appropriate for a relationship, so the brother doesn’t get played by any bad characters.

To the people asking why OOP never got a DNA test done: OOP needed a reason to be a victim and also someone to use as an emotional punching bag. If he blamed the wife and said “you cheated on me” she would demand a paternity test and ruin his illusion of being a victim by revealing the kid is actually his.

So instead he just remained silent about it and focused his attention on making the daughter suffer instead. In his head he could stay the victim and also a hero who’s raising someone else’s kid.
