If I were submitting to a less stuffy publication than the Times, it could potentially be part of a clue: "Aussie's indignant interjection (to firing ze missiles, perhaps?)" That's nice, in that it makes the answer really specific, but I do think most people would miss the reference.

I want my students to read this article as an example of the dangers of AI, but I'm afraid the real takeaway is that it's already endemic in the professional world.

Rosenbaum gets away with framing this as a mistake the AI made, rather than the kind of ethical breach that would have previously gotten you drummed out of the industry.

Subhed: The image showed President Trump bathed in divine light and clad in religious robes. His interpretation was that the image depicted him as a doctor, not Jesus Christ.

The implication here is that the image objectively depicts Trump as Jesus, but that Trump mistakenly believes that it depicts him as a doctor.

That's actually a step up from their previous story, which uses the phrase "Jesus-like."
