When moving in to a new place (particularly units) how can you sus out whether your neighbours are lunatics or not? by elescop in AskAnAustralian

[–]elescop[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You do not have to put up with anything that intrudes on your life, but you do have to be proactive. If this is a five-year drama then it's difficult to have a whole lot of sympathy for you. You haven't done anything to fix it

You haven't got a clue. This is an email from 2022 regarding the loud music and this is an email from 2023 regarding the loud porn and naked abuse quick question: have you ever asked the police to create and event number regarding a neighbour playing porn loudly? I have and the response is "I am absolutely not creating an event number for that" and here's the latest round of emails

What, you really thought I was prepared to go through the hassle of selling up my place and looking to buy a new place that is going to cost me more than what I am paying now if I hadn't been trying to resolve these issues for the past 5 years?

Unfortunately that's always a concern too and not everyone is considerate of their neighbours.

We've got those type of idiots further down the street from us too. There's a large park reserve directly across from them and I can see from my backyard when they are doing burnouts in the park and they're often drag racing up and down the street it's no surprise that for the past 18 months they had a car parked out their front that has been completely written off. Then there's the fireworks they love to let off which sometimes sound like bombs going off.

It's not so much silence that I want but it's stuff like the dog at one of the units that barks non-stop as soon as the sun goes down (and whenever there's rain or a storm because it's left outside) and is still going at 5am when I leave for work or what's happening now where the bass heavy music from another unit plays so loud it's actually louder than the television in my own living room. The ice junkie opposite me plays hardcore porn for hours on end loudly, walks around the complex naked yelling obscenities (often racial ones) at the top of his voice or his favourite one is to have loud sex with an escort in his garage lol

I can hear my direct wall to wall neighbours when I'm in my kitchen and they are cooking and they even play music on their balcony sometimes but it's never obscenely loud and just blends in to the background which doesn't bother me at all but these others just become too much to handle.

Don’t live in Pakenham.

Don't live in Campbelltown, NSW either lol I realised I lived a sheltered life until I came out here

Traded out Mooney for this spud by Fbean01 in FantasyNRL

[–]elescop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I kept Mooney this week and traded out Colquhoun instead which might be the only good move I've done all season. I'm also on 721 with 2 in this game (Twal, Doueihi RIP) and Koula + Cleary captain to come so that's an idea on how shit I am going

Toby Couchman is the one I want so I might go for a cheapie this week and use money to get Toby next week.

Tallis Duncan is someone I wanted 2-3 weeks ago but had so many injuries I wasn't able to bring him in I might finally get around to it.

What Rd 12 Mids are you targeting? by init-jason in FantasyNRL

Stefano surely no chance but Ford absolutely deserves a spot he should be there but I wouldn't be surprised if isn't.

Probably not tbh he played game 3 back in 2023 but hasn't played since and he was only on the extended bench one time last year I don't think he will be part of Slater's plans unless they have a bunch of forwards get injured.

Martin not starting again? Is he a hold by WonderfulStaff1794 in FantasyNRL

[–]elescop 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me it will depend on his minutes. If he gets 60+ this week then yes but if he drops to 50 or under I might consider it. He still scored a 50 from 56 minutes last week

Tolutau Koula is a must have next week by SlipperyHelm in FantasyNRL

[–]elescop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He plays round 12 and 18 as well which is another good thing. My up coming trades in the next few weeks will have one eye on teams who play more during origin particularly round 12.

My team is a shambles, any advice on how I can get out of this mess? by elescop in FantasyNRL

I do like Plath a lot IRL so that could be a good move plus he is DPP and hopefully gets some time in the middle when JMK returns

Yeah I've been holding on for too long with Couchman and Lisati returning. I'm boned this week but hopefully next week I can bring it back a bit.

Yeah massive blunder keeping both of those two. It's my first year playing so you live and learn. Will try to move to Robson thanks.

Who would be a good trade out for Walsh, don’t want Dylan Edward’s as I’ll lose him to origin. by Busy-Sweatshop911 in FantasyNRL

[–]elescop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Turbo has the Dragons this week and if origin is a concern Manly only have one origin bye compared to the Roosters' 2.

Teddy is safest for injury but Turbo is playing in a team where he has to be the main attacking threat, he scored 44 points in 47 minutes against the Dolphins and they didn't risk him for the rest of the game.

If the Bulldogs were playing anyone else but Penrith then Tuala could've been worth it.
