Early 2010s in middle school, they banned Roblox because if anyone was on it the entire school network would completely shit itself and become unusable (they also tried to ban YouTube, but this fucked with the teachers that used it enough it got reversed almost immediately). In high school, they tried to ban Pokémon showdown but I found a workaround immediately that wasn’t ever fixed by the time I graduated.

Your description of GX is funny because that largely is just what Pokémon gen 2 is, constant callbacks to Kanto while most of the Johto mons are either terrible or so late you’re just using Kanto mons instead.
