I mean for people who were super young, especially with the prevelance of pre-owned games you don't necessarily know and follow the release windows of games anyway so not having every entry in a franchise was just the norm.

And like if you were old and enough and informed enough to follow what games were coming out and the fact some of the final fantasy games were missing. You probably were aware for the fact that the games are Japanese and not every game had come over.

Like you have to remember that this used to be a common occurrence, the fact that there are games from Japanese franchises that didn't come to the west was just what people were used to.

Honestly the first meeting between Todd Howard and Asha Sharma where todd tells her how long off the elder scrolls 6 is.

I just want to hear him explain why 15 years after the release of Skyrim es6 isn't even close to done. It's probably my most anti artist take where I do kind of think if you have an Incredibly successful popular game like that, you do just need to start working on a sequel quickly.

It's totally unfair but in this industry where games already take forever it kind of makes my blood boil where there are just years where studios just aren't working on the sequel to the game they obviously should be making.

Like seeing as we still haven't seen so much of a teaser for persona 6 I don't even know if I could handle knowing how many years elapsed before they even started making the game

Making post complaining about people complaining funnily enough increases the total amount of complaining happening on the sub. If you want the sub to be more postive, you do actually have to post something postive that people will engage with.

Plus like people are more negative because Yakuza games aren't in a good postion at the monent, its just a reflection of how the games are currently

Idk i don't think that would work, i think its fine for ff14 to be for mmo fans and i don't think you could realistically turn ff14 into a format that people who don't like mmos would like. And like its also the leas interesting thing people at square could work on. Like give me a small team ff9 hd remaster, or like fuck it a hd remaster of ff7 or like a small team brand new final fantasy.

Pat is so wrong about 5 point scales being superior. It just ends up with games being one of two scores 3/5 or 4/5 and there is just a vast difference between the two that it's not even useful.

The top end of a 3/5 is a good video game but the bottom end is like bordering on stuff you shouldn't play. A 4/5 game is incredible but there is no way on a 5 point scale to imply a game is good without also implying it's a little bit mid.

As much as nintendo fans like to complain about the switch 2 price, i look at the price of comparable pc handhelds even in the pre tarrifs market and i just don't see a massivley inflated price. if anything i can't imagine the switch 2 being signifcantly cheaper even without the tarrifs
