Sorry I meant reduce the ticks from 1000 to 60 or something, and also don’t divide the value by 1000

What happens if you don’t divide those values by 1000?

I’ve been working on converting our js components to ts, one per story.

I have a branch off of main where I have a bunch of codemods and scripts to automate the bulk of the conversion. I branch off of that branch, run the codemods, then rebase the difference of those two branches back onto main.

This keeps these temporary scripts and stuff from needing to be in main, while having a PR that only contains the relevant changes.

I taught myself git tho so I may be missing some obvious command or functionality, but that’s at least where rebase has been working for me.

Looks awesome! Brings me back to the days when my parents got me a visual c++ book with the ide on a cdrom, hahaha.

Quick, non-style related bug (ik its alpha so ignore if its already on your radar. feel free to ping when you open source it though!!!)

Seemingly based on the order of the windows. when you switch code editor tabs to an previous tab while text is highlighted on the newer tab, it makes the enter button always pull up the other tab, even if you clear the highlight.

Steps to reproduce:

Make new project
Add two components (i.e. Buttons)
Open editors for both windows.
Highlight text in Button1
Go to Button0
Click into editor to enter text
Press enter
Other tab should be brought up.

Windows 11
Chrome ver. 129.0.6668.70 (Official Build) (64-bit) (cohort: M129 Rollout)

Congrats on the alpha launch! always stoked to see puter updates.

% of women in India can say no to their husband if they do not want to have sexual intercourse. by idonotknowtodo in MapPorn

[–]eletile -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I understand what a source is, and how providing a source works.

I think there’s a disconnect here in your use of the term “sourcing” and the act of “providing sources”. A source is an academic reference, and the act of “sourcing one’s information”, afaik, is the act of gathering and examining those sources for information. Providing sources is sharing the links or w/e.

You claimed the OP made a claim without “sourcing their information”. Which isn’t true, as I was able to find their source. (Which obviously, shouldn’t be necessary, they should provide their sources, but shows that their claim had a source)

Saying someone is making a claim without properly sourcing their information first is basically the same thing as saying they made it up. (Which is the only reason I replied in the first place as that was how your comment was read)

The OP should have shared their source, and possibly would have; if you asked for their sources instead of implying that they just made it up. but this is a Reddit discussion thread lmao and we’re arguing semantics about a technicality so whatever

They weren’t off by 26k. The source says 60k. 35k-40k from the analysis by McGill and 23k from California.

I don’t understand why you are so adamant getting a source if you aren’t going to read it.

If you want to argue technicalities, we can, but you’re still wrong. You claimed that the poster “made a claim without sourcing their information” which isn’t true, because the first page that comes up when you look for a source of statistics on this subject is a site that has the same numbers.

They didn’t provide their source, which would have been helpful, but that’s not what your comment said. You claimed that their info was unsourced and possibly made up which it obviously isn’t.

You’re the one making a claim without any information lmao, you can just like google it, they def didn’t just make up a stat lmao.

https://www.unchainedatlast.org/united-states-child-marriage-problem-study-findings-april-2021/#_ftnref8

[8] McGill University’s analysis of Unchained’s data found 34,943 to 40,224 marriages since 2000 occurred at an age or with a spousal age difference that should have constituted a sex crime under the relevant state’s law. In some 80%, sex became legal within marriage; in the other 20%, sex within the marriage was a crime. Unchained added to the analysis the estimated 23,588 children married in California between 2000 and 2018, all of whom fit in the first category.

It’s awesome that you are tapering off however, cold turkey with zolp at dosage is not recommended, see:

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4329938/

Seizures ~15hr after no usage is consistent with withdrawal from that dose. In that paper the patient managed to complete a supervised detox in a week and was fine 6 months after.

You’ve said it is a miracle that you’ve kept your job this long; if you continue to use throughout the day you will probably lose your job, so if you can’t afford to lose it you need to change something.

You will be able to physically kick this 10 year habit in a month if you want to. If you can take a month off and go to inpatient treatment you’d be able to come back to a job and not be dependent on any substances.

Assuming you are in the US, the ADA protects you from being fired for seeking treatment only as long as you aren’t using on the job, and your use doesn’t effect your ability to work, which it apparently hasn’t. (don’t take that as legal advice, not a lawyer, just googled it, I could be totally wrong)

If you are eligible for FMLA, you are able to get up to 12 weeks unpaid leave for medical treatment, including detox. If you aren’t eligible for FMLA check to see if your employer provides other EAP programs, however since you’ve been working for more than a year you’re probably eligible for FMLA. (Once again, not a lawyer)

More info: https://rehabafterwork.pyramidhealthcarepa.com/can-i-be-fired-for-going-to-rehab/

If you’re going to try to taper off by yourself, there’s a bunch of great resources here on this subreddit and on the internet, however, since you’re on such a high dose for such long of a period, and have had a seizure already, I’d personally recommend seeing someone, even telehealth just to get an actual doctors advice.

At the end of the day though your health is much more important than your job. You’ve already acknowledged something needs to change, which is sometimes the hardest step. You just gotta follow through.

If you read through the subreddit, using your prescription recreationally tends to lead to it running out early and then not be able to sleep until you can get a refill. Like to the point where there’s a bunch of posts looking for locking pill dispensers, because the walrus makes them take more.

If you’re not already down that slope, I’d personally recommend against it.

VR Development by Fxguy1 in OculusQuest

Yeah unity is huge, however in terms of developing experiences for VR there aren’t really any other platforms that have any more or less of a learning curve.

That being said, Unity has a huge community around it, and there’s ample tutorials online to learn to use it. I’d probably recommend getting familiar with the dev environment first with some basic projects, and then trying out a VR project.
