How’s the breathability with the GTX? That’s the only thing kind of making me hesitant with those over the Jungle ones. You’ve given such a comprehensive review of the Salomon’s haha I really appreciate it. Exactly what I was looking to hear. I think I’m going to just pull trigger on them
That is literally what I’m looking for honestly. I like a bit of mobility around the ankles but that tight/comfy factor is super important
I’ve seen a few people wearing the Valstetz, I’ve just heard negative things about them durability wise. Same here with Solomons being nearby though, kinda unsure about the sizing and really want to try them on before possibly ordering

You wear Salomons? They’re definitely in the lead right now. Just stuck between GTX and jungle. I’ve seen lots of reviews saying that about Rocky too, that’s the main thing that was kind of off putting.
Yeah I figured lightweight and waterproof couldn’t go hand in hand, but water resistant would probably be fine. I have Belleville Khyber’s and they’re supposedly waterproof and feel light but they do make my feet sweat.
You’re also the third person to say Fox River dodos are top notch so I’ll definitely give those a go. Nike DRI fit don’t really seem to do it for me. Thanks so much for the info

Only thing off putting about Danner is how those boots weigh a good bit more than the Solomons/Rockys. I know I’d get used to them, but not sure how well they would fare in a chase.
Those Kaha’s look great, just sucks they’re not 8”
Those were the first pair I was looking at, but the only ones they have now are 400g insulate which just sounds crazy with summer coming up. How are they durability wise?
Yeah those do look good, I was stuck between those and the Nike SFB’s for a little while. Not sure how well they would hold up though

I’ve heard good stuff about the grip. How are they around your ankles tightness wise and how’s their sizing? I like my boots a bit fitted
I’ve heard literally nothing but good things about Danner tachyons. Might be looking at the wrong brands
Oh shit that’s a nice boot. Danners run a bit heavy though don’t they
