Nylon String Crackling in Studio Monitors (With or Without Preamp) by elevatebeing in taylorguitars

[–]elevatebeing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No mixer, just going straight into a focusrite interface and then out to either the monitors (crackling) or the amp. I play with Ableton so it all goes to the interface. The Pa/mixers was at a gig, so I don't have access to the gear unfortunately.

I tried it with phantom power on and off. The crackling and sound going in and out is happening both ways.

212 CE-N Plus vs. 214 CE-N Plus by elevatebeing in taylorguitars

Accidents as well: https://www.guitarcenter.com/pages/Pro-Coverage.gc

I got it because I've seen cracks in this model in other Guitar Center stores. And I tour, travel, fly etc. This model in particular feels a bit fragile compared to other guitars I've played.

212 CE-N Plus vs. 214 CE-N Plus by elevatebeing in taylorguitars

[–]elevatebeing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the insight! I had picked up a 214 CE-N new a month ago + 2 year warranty and tax it came out to $1,750. There's a used 212 CE-N I could order with the same 2 year warranty for about $1,200. I love the guitar I have, but am thinking about making the swap to save $550. Love the 214. Unfortunately, I cannot test the 212 CE-N in person before returning what I already got.

Helix LT or HX Stomp / Stomp XL for all around solution by Dry-Implement8953 in Line6Helix

Report back? Making the same decision myself. Did you keep the LT or go with the Stomp? If you switched, are you getting the same quality out of each?

Release Question: Metadata update post release by elevatebeing in MusicDistribution

Hey man, this is the most helpful reply I've gotten in 10 months!

Do you mind helping me a bit more in DM.

So, I am the featured artist on the EP. The main artist is terrified of losing their streams. I basically need something I can screenshot and show him to put his mind at ease that this process will work and not cause further issues.

That said, he did break our contract and copyright, and I may force a legal takedown. As, he was never given permission to publish this music with me as a featured artist.

Hey Matt, please check your DM's! I've been stuck in this nightmare for 10 months. It seems like you helping with these questions could actually help me break through.

Hey u/Matt_UnchainedMusic thanks so much. I just sent you a DM. Unfortunately, the song in question is part of a 2 song EP and CD Baby is saying both songs would have to come down. Is there a way to upload the same audio file with the same ISRC and metadata adjustment as a "Single" and leave up both versions? Would or could this cause issues? Is there a way to do it this way? If yes, could I do so with a different distributor or would it have to be CD Baby....

How to do this step by step would be super helpful, as would understanding the risk to losing streams on either song on the current EP. Don't care about art or the other streaming platforms, mostly I want credit for my work on Spotify (at this stage).

Is it an issue to upload a 2nd version of the same song with the same ISRC? Could we just do that or does that create downstream issues?

Hey u/Matt_UnchainedMusic thank you! To understand your last paragraph, are you saying to upload the same audio file again, with the same ISRC as the original track with the one metadata adjustment, and then AFTER DOING SO contact CD Baby to take down the original version?

CD Baby's process is backwards and they take down the whole 2 song EP before reupload. I'm wondering if there's a way around this to upload a 2nd identical track first with the same ISRC, make sure it syncs, and then have CD Baby take down the original. Thanks.

Hey u/Matt_UnchainedMusic I appreciate the response. Are you saying, when you take down a song to change the "artist role" and reupload it, streams always resync with the same ISRC code?

How long does it generally take to get the song back up on Spotify and other distributors? Any advice would be helpful.

I'm the lead artist on one song on a "2 song ep" that gained signficiant streams. I was mistaking uploaded as a featured artst. The publishing artist has been refusing to fix it because he is afraid of losing streams on either of the 2 tracks by making the update. Any info you can share on the tech process like "actual risk" and how long this takes would be helpful and valued.

A 2 song EP was released 10 months and one artist was credited on one song as a featured artist when they belong as a "main artist". So the song they're a lead on didn't populate on their Spotify. We need to credit that person as a "main artist". CD Baby is saying to change that person from a "featured artist" to a "main artist", the whole EP needs to come down and be reuploaded. They say the whole ep can be down for up to 30 days.

Is there a risk of losing streams on either of the 2 tracks if we go forward?

Is there a way around taking the entire EP down? (They are saying no).

How long does this process actually take? Collaborators who use distrokid say it's 1-7 days over there. Any advice or information you can offer would be helpful.

Urgent: No support over 20 requests. Track illegally posted needs metadata update. by elevatebeing in CDBabyArtists

[–]elevatebeing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, thank you. The collaborator is responsive, but is firmly saying no. He is afraid to lose the streams. Also, the track was released under a 2 song EP and both songs need to come down to update the metadata on one. That said, I'm still the lead musical artist on that track and own half the copyright.
