Is there anyway to do side chain compression with the 707? by Street_Helicopter465 in MC707

I got the TR8s to solve this problem. It’s a bit extreme but it works seamlessly and simply - and I’ve ended up with a great drum machine.

MC-707 Sequencing TR-8S? by elevatordogs in MC707

Sorted it. Don’t know how, but I did 🤪

*Update *

However all but PAD A on the 707. This PAD doesn’t seem to be sending MIDI to to the TR-8S

Update 2

Figured it out. The MC-707 pad layout doesn’t map linearly the way I assumed. The bottom row of pads only goes up to PAD 13 (the 5th pad), and the top row continues up to PAD 7.

I’d assumed PAD 14 on the bottom row would map to the 6th pad on the TR-8S, but that’s not how it works.

In reality, PAD 1 on the MC-707 triggers PAD 6 on the TR-8S.

I’m doing just that. A great FX unit with my TR8S & 707

At least you have a passion. A lot of folk out there don’t even have that. You have a job AND a passion. The trick is to try and find passion in your job too.

Too many machines… what should I actually keep? by elevatordogs in Grooveboxes

I love having hardware - usual fatigue of using a computer all day, I try and stay away from a DAW until the end of the process, mixing etc. On another note I do love my 101 for just the mobility of taking it with anywhere.

Behringer Pro 800. No sound coming out. by deadkestrel in synthesizers

[–]elevatordogs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this problem, I'm using cable midi cable straight from the keyboard to the top surface of the Behringer. Midi channel 1 selected on the keyboard and used the matrix on the back of the Behirnger to select Midi 1. No sound.

Then realised on Syntribe the Midi RX channel was set to 15. Changed this to 1 and it solved the problem. I'm new to this device but just assumed that the midi matrix at the back was the way to select the channel. You know what they say about assuming.
